Just Okay

This was not at all what I expected. We got there and we couldn't check in but there was a bell there to ring that neither me or my daughter saw, a sign might be helpful. Sat in the car until one of the employees saw us. This place reminds me of a old time run down lake house. This would be a nice resort if fixed up, but I'm afraid its glory days are over. It was clean inside, that's important, but there are a lot of cats running around out side, and not as clean outside. We left at 6 and there was no breakfast, the ice machine is broken for years, theres cobwebs in it, if you want ice just ask. If you would like to book this room do not do it on hotels.com, the price to stay there is significantly less if you call. The guy at the desk was shocked that I paid that much to stay there. When I got there that was the main reason I was upset was what I paid to stay there. There are only about three hotels in Green Lake Wisconsin, and we needed to be by the golf course there. Ripon is right down the road will check there next time. I will say the two employees that worked there were very hospitable.

This property is in poor condition, too much money for what you got. It smelled, junk piled everywhere in the office. We got there & no one was there to let us in. We called, no answer. Very dated from the 60’s. Location was very run down. Would not recommend this place.

Surprised by how run down this property is. No WIFI was available during my stay. Carpets had so much staining I kept me shoes on while in the room. Furniture and other amenities in the room with dated and needed to be replaced or reupholstered. Room had a musty odor and ceiling in the bathroom with falling apart.

Comfortable and close to Oshkosh

We were there to go to the Oshkosh EAA fly-in. It was pretty close, a nice 20 minute drive. The owners were very friendly and courteous, the room was comfortable. Look forward to staying three again next year.

The owner and his manager are nice people. Rooms are clean carpet is kind of dirty. The rooms really smell like mold so it bothered my allergies a lot. Only could stay the 2 nights. I think the price is high for what you are getting.

We enjoyed our stay at The Dartford Inn. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for our overnight stay. With the Inn being located just outside of the town, it was super quiet overnight and we woke up well rested.

A rustic, hidden jewel for those adventurers.

While well off the beaten path for the event I was attending in Oshkosh, it served the purpose well at an affordable rate. The room was clean, comfortable, and satisfactory. I will definitely stay there again.

Manager was friendly and helpful. It would have helped if we had known the changes in ammenities due to COVID, i.e., no breakfast or kitchen available. Also the WiFi was not functioning, however, the manager did allow us to access the internet via a hotspot. Seemed overpriced for what we received. We appreciated having plentiful electrical outlets in the room. The location provided easy access to the lake.

Very warm and welcoming host, Larry. Rooms clean and has any amenity we needed. The grounds were beautiful and the rooms felt like we were at camp. Quaint and worth the visit! Plus there's friendly cats and dog!

In need of alot of care

The housekeeping is in lack of or nonexistent, the overall discription is nothing like the pictures and there was no coffee or breakfast had to go down the street to get coffee, the room had cob webs all over... I was very dissatisfied with my stay. Beds were hard and uncomfortable.

The whole property is unique in its own way. It has seen better days but we would definitely stay there again. To the lady that said they are feral cats you obviously have not been around animals. Yes they do have cats but are the most friendly little guys. I would go there again just for that.

Proprietor wasn’t there when I arrived. Office smelled of cat urine. Tried to charge me for pre-paid room. Feral cats roaming all over. Prop swept up cat poop by my door. Faucets corroded badly. WiFi was in and out the whole time. Breakfast was dirty, waffles & tiny old danish so I ate elsewhere. Felt like a midwestern Bates Motel. Never going back. 😡😞.
