Newly renovated 2-Family Home! Located right in Greenport Village providing walking distance to all the restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee shops, and Shelter Island Ferry, Long Island Railroad (LIRR), and Hampton Jitney.

My place is close to restaurants and dining, the beach, family-friendly activities, nightlife, and public transport. You’ll love my place because of Location!. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids).

This property has two apartments. The Sandpiper Apt. 1 and Aqua Vista Apt.2 (see listing on VRBO website that can accommodate 12 people when available at the same time for larger families and wedding parties. (PLEASE NOTE - that outdoor BBQ and is only available from April to November.)

Property management was great, responsive and helpful recommendations. The property was immaculate and perfectly located for everything from the beach to ferry, restaurants, Main Street and wineries. Plenty of parking on site. Kitchen was well stocked with everything to make a meal or to cook out. Wonderful place!

My wife and I stayed at the Sandpiper for a long weekend. The property was very clean with a warm welcoming feeling. It is within walking distance to the beach and downtown shopping. Great location. I would recommend it to everyone.

Charming and just right!

Our stay was delightful at the SandPiper. It was a perfect size for our family and the host thought of everything to make sure we were comfortable. Greenport is a gem and even though it rained while we were here, we enjoyed taking the ferry over to Shelter Island and Sag Harbor. Great location on a quiet street. (And close to the ferry to CT.) Highly recommended!

Great Experience!

Had a great weekend with my brothers. The property was perfect for 3 adult men. Clean, modern, ample space, plenty of amenities, nice covered outdoor space, a very short walk to the water and to the town of Greenport. Owners couldn't have been nicer. Winter get away in Greenport

Lovely 2 night getaway for my birthday. And opportunity to see where ancestors once lived. We had a great time and the waitress in restaurant knew my family. Just wonderful town and sweet apartment.

Apt great, manager not

We really appreciated the space, organization, and cleanliness of the apartment overall! The location was very convenient and walkable, but street noise in the early morning was not ideal (train whistles, loud trucks, and motorcycles starting around 6am). My friend who used earplugs had no problem, but I can't use them to sleep and it did impact my sleep, so just something to consider based on your own preferences. While the apartment overall was very very clean, there was spoiled milk and creamer in the fridge when we arrived and no liner in the garbage can - which certainly matters when you are expected to empty the garbage yourself. Most importantly, the owner was not great at communicating. I emailed him questions about access twice and he did not write back. When I wrote with another question that he did not like, he sent a long, angry email basically said we shouldn't be staying in a short term rental because our standards were too high. Between the two of us, my friend and I have stayed in short term rentals over 100 times and we definitely know that while every request might not be granted, our questions about access were not at all unreasonable. I actually think this is a great spot, as long as everything goes smoothly (and you have earplugs and are comfortable throwing away spoiled milk). However, I would not rent again from this host because I'd be too worried about what might happen if there were any problems.

Easy Stay

My stay in Greenport was very comfortable. Very convenient to Shelter Island Ferry...walking distance. The place was very clean and well stocked with all things needed. There was a lot of light coming in to the front bedroom. I did bring a sleep mask so not a problem for me. Very pleased with my whole experience and will come again.

Quick getaway!

My husband & I have spent every year in the greenport / shelter island area for our anniversary. Unfortunately, my husband suffers from a rare diagnosis which recently left him homebound. Twice now, we have stayed at the Sandpiper and hope to stay there for many years to come! This is our 1x / year excursion that we both look forward to knowing that our stay will be perfect here. It's the perfect location, beautiful home, always clean and the host is always so communicative and flexible to your needs. We truly appreciate all the thought they have put into their property and your experience there. We can't say better things about this spot - def choose the Sandpiper if you want a seamless experience, great location & positive experience. Looking fwd to staying again next summer!
