Nice little cabin but the pictures are deceiving. Makes it look like there are two rooms and a kitchen. Ours was just one room with a mini fridge and microwave. I think you just get whatever room is available. They also said the restaurant (snack bar) was open until 7 and it was already closed at 6:40. Other than that the facility was nice and great family setting with lots of things to do.
Beautiful lake and serene area
LIED TO about the "two-bedroom" accommodations -
ONE room for all except separate room bathroom -
ONE ROOM with full bed and set of bunkbeds, micro/fridge and sink area. Compact, but NOT what I PAID for or reserved.
I was scared of this place based on some of the reviews but once I got there it was a huge relief. Check In was fast and easy and staff extremely friendly. Cabin was cute and very clean, perfect for my husband and I. Area is beautiful around the lake and sunset over the lake are gorgeous! There were only two things I could slightly see that needs improvement: 1.) roads need to be re-paved. There are pot holes but most not too bad and I have a small car. It wasnât that bad. 2.) The people living there should be towards the back of the park. Many have lots of âstuffâ all around their trailers. Overall, it was a great weekend and weâd go back again.
The air conditioner did not keep it cool. We had to go to buy a box fan to be able to sleep at night. That is my main complaint. However, when we told the man at the gate entrance, he didn't offer any solutions. He just told us if we turned it down too low, it would freeze up.
Disappointed!!!! First of all there are only 4 cabins on site the rest of the property is for RV's. Upon arriving at the cabin before we could even unload our belongings we had to fight all of the spiders and spider webs that were covering the front porch. There was trash in the grill and on the ground. There was a place setting of dishes in the kitchenette and the glasses were so dirty they were stuck to the counter. We rented the cabin for 4 days and there was only 4 towels for 2 adults. The bathroom had a bad septic smell after the 3rd day.The sheets on the bed were so worn out that if you barely moved in the bed it came off of the mattress. There were no batteries in the TV remote. One of the check out items was to take all of the trash out to the dumpster, but there no replacement bags and the one that were in there were so thin that it broke 3 times trying to get it to the dumpster. We would have been better off staying at the state park down the street in a tent, it was much cleaner.
Staff were very friendly. Cabin has everything you need. There's a charcoal grill and a propane grill outside. I plan on returning and bringing steaks next time. It's a great place to get away from the city.
