Bad size rooms!!!!

No balconys in standard rooms all are inward facing and so so small you could only call them a box rooms infact it was the worst size room i have ever stayed in and i have been travelling for the past 50 but never again would i stay at this hotel, you can stay a lot cheaper in better accommodation at the lake, if you saw the size of standard rooms you would not believe it.

The balcony offered a rather limited view of the river. There was a fridge in the room but no microwave. We saved some food in the fridge overnight and asked hotel staff if they could warm up our food for 1 minute. They simply refused.

Although the exterior of the building was unattractive, the staff and service more than made up for it. The interior decor was attractive and eclectic, the restaurant food was excellent and we liked that they carried local spirits on the drinks menu. Recommended +

Great location! Stayed here for 1 night after catching transalpine train from Christchurch. It’s walking distance to various restaurants and cafes plus has on site car parking. Check in was quick and staff were helpful with recommendations.
