The 60-square-meter vacation apartment has been lovingly renovated and is located in the former stable of the approximately 100-year-old Fehnhaus. It has its own entrance. The living room with a sleeper sofa, the spacious kitchen, and the bathroom are all on the first floor, while the bedroom is located on the open loft. The old oak beams give the apartment a special charm. The garden is fenced in, and guests have access to a private area with lounge furniture and a grill.
Your dogs, no matter how small or large, are warmly welcome.
Strackholt is located right in the heart of East Frisia. Strackholt, a pretty, well-kept town with about 1,500 residents, is situated in an idyllic landscape yet remains centrally located.
There are plenty of recreational activities: Cycling is particularly popular in East Frisia. Numerous bike paths wind through nature, along the Wieken (canals) and fields.
The nearest village store is just 300 metres away. You’ll find fresh rolls and cakes there. A bank, ATMs, and doctors’ offices are also nearby.
If you enjoy going out, you’ll find a wide selection of restaurants and cafes in nearby Wiesmoor.
Since Strackholt is very centrally located, no destination on the North Sea is more than 45 kilometres away.
A day at the beach or a trip to the islands is easily possible by car or bike as a day trip. The beautiful city of Leer, with its historic old town, or Jever are great options for a nice outing.
For those who don’t want to drive far, the Ottermeer swimming lake or the Timmeler Meer are both within a 10-kilometer radius. The Ottermeer in Wiesmoor is a moor lake with excellent water quality, beautiful walking trails, and a large sandy beach. It’s also a wonderful spot for families with children.
The Timmeler Meer offers numerous recreational activities such as swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boating.
