Nightmare Rental Experience in Marbella: Left Stranded with No Refund
After months of planning my Marbella vacation, I arrived at what should have been a perfect beachside apartment only to find myself locked out with no way to enter. The owner was completely unreachable - all calls went to voicemail and messages through the booking platform, emails, and texts went unanswered.
After waiting two hours in the scorching sun with my luggage, I was forced to book a last-minute hotel at premium rates. The owner finally responded the next day with a brief, unapologetic message claiming "phone issues" and offering to let me check in a day late - without any compensation.
When I requested a refund citing their failure to provide the agreed-upon accommodation, they refused, hiding behind their strict cancellation policy. The booking platform has been equally unhelpful, siding with the owner despite clear evidence of communication failure.
I strongly caution anyone considering this property or owner. What should have been the start of a relaxing vacation turned into an expensive, stressful ordeal that could have been avoided with basic professional courtesy.
One star, and that's being generous.
