Minutes from beach with Bay view, pier, fenced yard & dog friendly!

This cute two bedroom, one bath cottage is pet and people friendly. Cute, clean and attractively decorated, it sleeps five people comfortably, has a spacious well stocked kitchen, full laundry, screened porch, open deck, fenced yard, beautiful bay views. Just two minutes from the gulf beach, the location has it all for the guest who wants to get away from it all yet still have it all! Our private pier has been repaired and the deck and main pier is accessible to guests.

Snowbirds welcome! This beautiful home is perfect for winter guests who want a smaller home that is pet friendly. It even has a fenced yard. If you are a golfer or fisherman you will enjoy the facilities close by.

Overall Good Rental

Our family overall enjoyed the stay at Bay Leave. No real issues with the home, communication was good. The home / deck will need some updates in the next couple years - it was warm in the home (AC can only be set to 72), the main bed isn't very comfortable and the fridge doesn't cool super well. The stairs to access are rickety. You cannot follow the GPS directions, they will take you to the back of the house - the full time residents all around are not super friendly. Location was great for accessing the beach and for a short trip.

A perfect mix of rest and relaxation With access to the dock and short drive to the beach

We totally loved “Bay Leave”…. The house was perfect for my husband and I and our two dogs. Could’ve easily had a couple more people. The kitchen was well appointed and we enjoyed grilling grouper & burgers, baking crab cakes and much more. We loved having coffee in morning on the dock and watching the sunset every evening. Access to the beach was easy off of Veterans. Loved the peaceful setting and comfortable home. Thanks for sharing.

Great beach house!

We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed the house. It was the perfect location, away from the noise but close enough to everything. My only complaint would be more paper towels and toilet paper ( we had to buy more to last the week) and to provide shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Otherwise, we really enjoyed everything and hope to come back again!

Perfect Fall Getaway

This home was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was nice having access to the laundry room! We enjoyed the pier access and fenced area for the dogs. The host was readily available to provide directions when we turned down the wrong street :) Would definitely recommend.

Relaxing

A relaxing place that was clean and comfortable! The bed was super comfortable too! The view and pier was really nice! The fenced in yard was big enough for our dog. The location was quiet. We took our 22’ bay boat and we were able to park it and move it around but it was a very tight fit. The tree limbs that hung down over the long driveway clipped the top of our t-top so I wouldn’t recommend taking a boat with a t-top or over 22’. We managed and did not get into anyone else’s property but it was very hard to do. Martha is always an excellent host! Thank you Martha!

Great place to stay!

We vacation down in this area every year. This was our first time staying in a home instead of a condo and we loved it. We traveled with our 1 year old and the house was perfect for us. Lots of room and very clean! We would for sure stay at this home again.

Quiet Area

We stayed over the Memorial Day weekend. The small group of homes where the house is was quiet even though families were gathering for the holidays. Watching the sun set each day from the pier was beautiful. I think they are continuing to repair it and at this point there are no handrails along it. The house was very clean (not always the case with short term rentals) and the bed as comfortable. The deck around the house was a nice place to catch some sun/sit in the shade and read while enjoying the peacefulness of the area. Even though a holiday weekend, the Ft Morgan beaches wet not crowded…at least compared to the Gulf Shores beaches. We have enjoyed the area several times and anticipate coming back.

2nd Stay for us

We had another great time at the little yellow house. We stayed here in 2019 as well. The house was clean, had a well equipped kitchen, a very comfortable bed, and a perfect little fenced in yard for our small dogs. My only complaint is that the internet was very slow. It did specify that in the description so it was disclosed. My husband had to work and be on several Zoom calls during our stay. He had to hot spot his phone, which solved the problem. The coffee maker does not turn off automatically which I fortunately figured out the first day. I think you should add a little card on the coffee tray noting that, just to be safe. Overall we had another great stay. Thank you so much for renting to us and thanks Martha for the excellent communication. We will be back! :)

We had a great stay in the little yellow house. The setting was perfect, the house was well equipped so we didn’t have to constantly run into town. We would love to stay there again if we come down another time. Loved all the little touches.

This property worked out great for us. It is a bit of a drive to the beaches or store but that suited us. Quiet area, the drive is kind of hidden so expect to pass it the first time. Overall, great vacation house.

Cozy Cottage

Really enjoyed the Cottage by the bay. The house was very spacious and has everything you need. The screened in porch was wonderful and we enjoyed the scenery and sounds of the bay. The small fenced in yard was wonderful for our puppy, but she also likes to be walked. If you plan on walking your dog, I suggest bringing a flashlight as it is very dark at night and the residential neighbor asked us to turn off our light outside the house.

Great Spring Break Getaway for Our Pet-Loving Family

We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have managed a longer stay. There was plenty to do even though it was too cold for the beach. The evening sunsets were spectacular and viewed easily from the dock. The neighbors were quiet and the stay was peaceful. The house was very clean and there were even some towels left for use with our dog if needed. Everything was as described. We were alerted to an issue needing attention from a repairman and this was conducted easily without any interruption to our visit. We appreciate the care and professionalism used in the rental process. We would stay again during a future visit!

Loved This Quiet Cottage!

We loved our stay at this cottage! It was comfortable with a laid back beachy vibe, and had everything we needed for an extended stay. We enjoyed morning coffee in the screen porch and it was so convenient to be able to let the dog out into the fenced yard as needed. The nearby beaches were perfect for daily walks and access to the pier onto Mobile Bay was a bonus. If you're looking for a quiet place for a little R&R, this is it. Hope to be back next year!

Wish there was a TV in master bedroom. Also the dock is in bad shape and we weren’t able to fish.

We were pleased except for no TV in master. The dock needs works so we weren’t able to fish. They also need to put chicken wire around bottom of fence so small dogs can’t get out. The location is very nice and Marttha was very nice and helpful.

Great Beach Get-a-way

The cottage is in a great location. It is pet friendly, with information on Pet Friendly beaches. The fenced in yard made it very convenient for our dog to go outside. Special treats for the puppy. It is close to beaches, restaurants and shopping. Ft. Morgan is far less crowed than Gulf Shores. I would go back again.

Great stay for the pups!!!

Very enjoyable property! Great view of the bay! Perfect fenced yard for the pups and close to the beach! The master bed left a bit to be desired, but the cleanest stay ever!! Lots of cooking utensils and machines if needed. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Not a Bad Rental

House is in good shape. We rented in August and the weather was poor everyday, so that really limitedwhat we could do. The house is in a small neighborhood where there aren't many other rentals so extra care must be taken to not infringe on the permanent residents. That's typically not a big deal for us but the communication to us about it made it a bigger deal. The listing said the dock had been repaired so my expectation was for a fully repaired dock, not the case. The portion of the dock closest had a few boards replaced and the end was boarded. The unrepaired section is still there and in my opinion in the way. Appliances are in good shape, the coffee grinder was a nice touch and much appreciated. The underside of the house is very low, so watch your head if you go under there. There were old chairs and a table under there which made it kind of unsightly. The only outside light that works is the porch light. No light available outside for use of the grill after dark.

Quiet, relaxing, and clean

Excellent stay! Close to quiet stretch of beach, bay, and both Gulf Shores proper and Ft Morgan. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood and very clean and comfortable home. I would definitely stay here again. Screened in porch was a favorite hangout. Martha was great to work with-no hitches in any part of process.
