The Highlights

Where to begin?! This adorable Morgantown cottage provides an ideal beach vacation destination. It's modern, beautifully decorated and provides tons of outdoor decking. It's conveniently located and is a short walk to both pools and several beach access boardwalks. Families and guests of all ages appreciate the one-story floor plan, the generous room sizes and the three full baths. Don't get us wrong, the inside of the home is gorgeous, but we can't get past the oversized decking and comfortable and durable polywood furniture. Guests will enjoy coffee, cocktails and everything in between on these fabulous decks. When you're at the beach, you want to be outside, and this home makes it both possible as well as very enjoyable!

The Space

Step inside and you'll fall in low with the tranquil color palette and the comfortable furnishings. Loads of seating in the living room allow the entire group to gather for a night of TV watching, game playing or just hanging out to discuss the adventures of the day.

The kitchen features stainless appliances, granite countertops and plenty of counter seating.

The bedrooms are crisp and clean and both King rooms have private baths. The other two rooms, one a Queen and the other two Twin/Twin bunks share a hall bath. This floor plan is great for providing both space and privacy.

Fort Morgan and Morgantown

Morgantown is a lovely, unique seaside community featuring two swimming pools, a kiddie pool, two lighted tennis/pickleball courts and several beach access boardwalks. When you first arrive, you'll notice pride of ownership in this pastel colored, beautifully landscape neighborhood. Guests really enjoy walking and biking along the quiet streets and many rent golf carts and enjoy sunset drives. If you have small children or just prefer the convenience of parking close to the beach, there is a public lot just to the west of Morgantown.

Located a scenic 15 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's (opening soon) to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.

Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.

Be sure and visit nearby Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge with over 7,000 acres of coastal habit. You'll be able to hike through the preserve and observe local flora and fauna. There are 4 trails, varying in size and terrain, and you'll definitely want to make time to visit this natural oasis.

For added security and peace of mind, this home is equipped with a video doorbell.

Beautiful Home in Beautiful Location

We had a wonderful stay at Sea Salt. The home is beautiful and spacious. It was fully stocked with everything we could want for the beach. The kitchen was also well stocked and labeled, so we had no trouble finding anything. The property manager was very kind and responsive. The location is perfect! It’s just a short walk to the pool and beach. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this home! We hope to return!

Very clean and nice layout. Very nice porch and plenty of seating. Everything was easy to find and use because all cabinets, drawers, and light switches were labeled. Really enjoyed our stay while we went to baseball tournament games. Near enough to beach for beach time.

Wonderful beach house in Morgantown!

Clean and beautiful home near the beach and neighborhood swimming pools. We love this area of Fort Morgan! Be sure to take the ferry to Dauphin island and visit the aquarium. We caught the Blue Angels practice at Pensacola. It was amazing! Sea Salt is a great choice. We will be back.

Celebration of Family Members 85th Birthday

Perfect in every way, can't say enough about the seamlessness from beginning to end. Great getaway! Minor appliance issue was resolved quickly and without hesitation... Deck was a wonderful place to gather and reflect with family. Beach and pools were quiet and family friendly. Grand joys loved the included water/sand toys and the wagon was a blessing for our crew of seven to go to the beach. We would recommend to anyone (we have suggested to friends already) and hope to stay at Sea Salt again. :-)

Not a condo building or hotel in sight, so beach is much less crowded.

There was plenty of room for everyone and the walk to the pools and beach were very convenient. We cooked most of our meals there and the kitchen was VERY well stocked. Much more than we expect from a vacation rental. We also really appreciated access to the storage closet which included a wagon to bring stuff to the beach, beach chairs, a 10x10 pop-up tent, floats, sand toys, and more. There were also beach towels on the house and more than enough bath towels and dish towels. We would definitely come back!!

Porch deserves 5 stars.

We stayed here as a family of six and grandmother. The layout of the house as well as ALL the supplies and extras made this feel like home for the week. When they say they provide you with everything… they mean it. There were plenty of dishes, cups, towels, the list goes on and on for each of us. You only need to bring sunscreen and a smile! The community itself is very cute and very much a family vibe. The two pools are clean and a perfect way to wind down the day. The are multiple access points to the beach that are within a five minute walk. But if you can I recommend renting a golf cart. The winner of this review is the front porch. When not at the beach, or pool, this was the spot to be. Just an all around wonderful stay. We will be back again!

Family Spring Break

We loved our stay at Sea Salt and in the community of Morgantown. The private beaches and generally quiet community all day and night was wonderful. The kids enjoyed having the space in the house and access to beach toys and both pools. The drive to Gulf Shores dining and activities was maybe 20 minutes and I took our 3 boys to Fort Morgan which they enjoyed seeing. My wife and two daughters enjoyed just hanging out on the porch in peace. The 7 of us loved our stay. There is a bit of a smell that may come from the grill downstairs which we didn't use but is great to have access to if you want. The AC works well, the laundry and kitchen are awesome! With our family it was great to be able to have access to these. Wireless service and internet are a bit spotty but as adults we appreciated the lack of connection, the kids still had connections but we were glad they wanted to explore and see things beyond the screen. The kids have already asked if we come back if we can stay in the same house! Thanks for a great home away from home!

We have been coming to Gulf Shores/OB/Fort Morgan since I was a kid, and have stayed in many condos and houses. This year we wanted a quiet oasis away from the crowds but close enough to activities and entertainment. I don't know if I can ever stay anywhere else again. We found so much peace and joy at Sea Salt, we were looking into real estate in Morgantown by the time we left! The cleanest and most organized place we have ever stayed easily. The location in proximity to the beach was perfect, and the front porch alone was enough to keep us happy. The place is the perfect size and has just the right amount of space for a family to enjoy. It seemed like there was a peaceful place to rest or relax all over the house, including the beach garage underneath! 10/10, will stay again! Also Linda the property manager was accessible, professional, and lovely to talk to giving us tips and Morgantown events!
