Weekend get away

My son and I needed a relaxing weekend and it was just that. The resort was very nice from check-in to check-out. They were very nice and accommodated an earlier check-in since we arrived a little early. The only issue we had was with the TV remote that wasn’t sure when it wanted to work. We called the front desk and someone came up within a few minutes and corrected the issue. He even provided us recommendations for our meal. All the attendants were friendly and helpful. Will try to stay here again if they have accommodations for us.

New renovations re wonderful. Check in and out was very easy. Great service except for the young ladies at the pool snack bar. Not very attentive and mostly ignored all The customers. Everyone else was great. Poolside waitress and breakfast staff were great. Would recommend the hotel.

The front desk staff was top notch! The doors to the rooms did not close automatically; you had to push or pull them closed every time or else they would remain cracked. This is a huge safely issue and for that I can't return. Side note: Please change the soap from those little bottles to dispensers attached to the wall. It's cheaper and less wasteful.

The doors do not close on their own. You have to make sure you close your hotel door. *Safety hazard.* Also, put shower gel containers in the shower like most hotels do so that I don’t have to keep asking for more small shower gels at the front desk. *would be more cost- effective* Lastly, the word “resort” is misleading I guess, meaning, there are on-site conveniences but nothing is included (it’s not all- inclusive) so not really saving anything by staying at Perdido ‘resort’.
