Welcome to our 60-square-meter apartment in a historic building in the heart of Hamburg’s Schanzenviertel neighborhood in the Eimsbüttel district. The apartment can accommodate up to 5 people and is furnished to a high standard with a cozy atmosphere, so you can feel completely at home during a vacation or business trip.
The “Kanu” apartment is located on the 1st floor of our historic building, which does not have an elevator.

Our apartment is located in the Eimsbüttel district on a quiet side street on the edge of Hamburg’s Schanzenviertel. This area is one of Hamburg’s most popular neighborhoods and is a real trendy district. The Sternschanze is a colorful and multicultural neighborhood and is simply called the “Schanze” in Hamburg. Countless restaurants, cafés, bars, and boutiques are right on your doorstep. The U-Bahn and S-Bahn are just a 5-minute walk away and will take you to all of Hamburg’s attractions in 10 minutes—whether it’s the trade fair, the harbor, the Reeperbahn, downtown, HafenCity with the Elbphilharmonie, or the main train station in the city center. The airport is only 8 km (a 20-minute drive) from the main train station.

Getting around near the accommodation
- CAR: If you’re arriving by car, you have two options:
1. Park outside the resident parking zones (see link below / Eimsbütteler Straße is located in resident parking zone “AE101”)
2. You can park in a parking garage (e.g., APCOA Neue Flora Parking Garage, Stresemannstr 161, 22769 Hamburg, max. 35€ per day, up to 1.95m in height, or Messe Parking Garage, Lagerstraße 2, 20357 Hamburg, 16€ per day, up to 2.0m in height)
Please note: You can only park on the street for a maximum of 3 hours at a rate of 2€/hour and must then move your vehicle (payment can be made at the parking meter or via an app, e.g., EasyPark)
- S-BAHN: The “Holstenstraße” S-Bahn station is just a 5-minute walk away
- U-BAHN: The “Christuskirche” and “Emilienstraße” U-Bahn stations are 12 minutes away from the apartment.
- BUS: The “Alsenplatz” bus stop is just a 3-minute walk from the apartment. Buses 20, 25, and 600 stop here
