In the middle of nowhere but so beautiful!

What an unexpected treat! Out in the middle of nowhere (but close to a town) and such a beautiful setting. Great place if you are traveling with kids - lots of room (and goal posts) for soccer, a swing, huge chess board.

Ruhe und Erholung inmitten der Natur

Das Haus liegt mitten im Wald, erreichbar über einen Sandweg, ist sehr übersichtlich (8 Hotelzimmer, 6 Ferienhäuser). Bestechend ist die Ruhe hier, man kann sich wirklich erholen. Die Besitzer (Familienbetrieb) sind freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Frühstück und die Abendgerichte sind einfach aber ausreichend. Das Haus selber verströmt noch DDR - Charme. Der Preis für Übernachtung und Essen ist unglaublich niedrig! Wer keine hohen Ansprüche stellt, ist hier bestens aufgehoben.

Die Pension hat ihre besten Tage hinter sich. Wirkt alles wie eine Mischung aus den 70igern und 80igern. Es ist aber funktionell. Der Chef ist bemüht, wirkt jedoch griesgrämig. Ist er aber gar nicht. Die Räumlichkeiten könnten sauberer sein. Das Frühstück ist absolut in Ordnung.

absolute Empfehlung für Wanderer

ich habe eine Wanderung über den Harz außerhalb der Ferienzeit und in der Arbeitswoche gemacht. Wer die Ruhe sucht, wird sie zu dieser Zeit hier finden. Nach einer langen Gehzeit war ich bei der Ankunft recht groggy. Der nette und fürsorgliche Empfang war eine war eine Wohltat.

Erikoinen

Erikoinen kokonaisuus. Sitä kutsutaan matkustajakodiksi, mutta gasthaus se mielestäni on. Mukava (joskin hiljainen) isäntä. Erikoinen haju tuloiltana, mutta seuraavaksi aamuksi se oli hävinnyt. Erinomainen aamiainen (vain 5,-/hlö!) ja hyvä ruoka muutenkin. Joulukoristelu oli lievästi sanoen karannut käsistä; koriste-esineitä oli enemmän kuin alan kaupassa! Samoin kukkia oli valtava määrä, jokaisessa mahdollisessa paikassa oli kukka tai kasvi. Erittäin negatiivisena koin sinne johtavan tien, joka on punaisen, sitkeän saven ja hiekan sekoitusta. Hieman ennen vierailuamme oli satanut ja pääsin pesemään auton vasta Suomessa kahden päivän kuluttua: koskaan en ole joutunut pyöräkoteloita pesemään painepesurilla niin kauan!

waldoase ligger et stykke fra seværdighederne i Harzen, og er noget svært at finde frem til.. jeg ville ikke kunne forestille mig at bo der 1 uge, men 2 dage på gennemrejse var fint.. super service og fin morgenmad

Die Pension Waldoase verströmt den Charme eines DDR-Ferienlagers, was für mich einen großen Teil der Gemütlichkeit ausmacht. Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach aber zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Dies trifft auch auf die restliche Ausstattung zu, die sich am besten als ein Mix der letzten drei Jahrzehnte des 20. Jahrh. beschreiben lässt. Das Frühstück war für den Preis von 5,00€ sehr gut, die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich, aber die angebotenen Gerichte werden frisch zubereitet und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist hervorragend. Das Personal ist zum größten Teil sehr nett, v.a. die jüngeren Mitarbeiter haben ein offenes Ohr und versuchen im Rahmen der Möglichkeiten auf die Bedürfnisse der Gäste einzugehen.

Wir waren doch sehr zufrieden, Frühstück ließ kaum Wünsche offen. Abends doch sehr bescheidenes Angebot.Schlechte Anfahrtsstrasse (Schotter) und schwer zu finden(nicht gut ausgeschildert)! Sonst Alle nett und freundlich. Buchung über Hotels.com nicht zu empfehlen,zu Zweit wurde mir ein 3-Bett Zimmer zum vollen Preis berechnet,vor Ort wurde nett und zuvorkommend korrigiert.

Speciel og fin oplevelse

Waldoase er et hyggeligt og nedslidt hotel, som ligger fint i Harzen. Hvis du ikke gider standard overnatning, men derimod synes det er fint med billig overnatning og østtysk indretning, så vælg trygt Waldoase.Stedet er fint til pengene og sjovt at opleve. Maden er trist, men skidt pyt. Personalet er søde og en bedre oplevelse end så meget andet. Vi var familie på 4, og fik dejligt stort rum.

skulle kun have haft én stjerne!
