LUXURY 5 STAR HOLIDAY HOME IN ST DAVIDS

New Cross house is a beautiful, spacious Grade II listed house in the middle of St Davids with off street parking for up to 5 cars (very rare in St Davids). Renovated throughout to a very high standard. The house sleeps 8, with sauna room, extensive grounds and walled garden, covered firepit and Games room. Walking distance to all shops, galleries, restaurant, coastal path and beaches.

The high ceilings, large sash windows with sweeping drapes, large square rooms and retained features add to the charm and stately feel of this property. Enjoy family meals in the dining room while the modern fitted kitchen is also ideal for entertaining. The original stairs sweep up to four large bedrooms with crisp white linen, while the games room on the on the 3rd floor will provide hours of fun. The enclosed rear garden is a real haven, large walled garden and undercover BBQ area provide plenty of room for children to play safely and alfresco dining.

If you bring yourself to leave the house then the nearest beach is Carfai which is less than a mile away and within walking distance. If you are looking to walk the coastal path this is a great location from which to do so, no need to take your car as you can walk from the house and get the Puffin bus shuttle back. From St Justinians you can enjoy a trip to Ramsey island to see the amazing birdlife and the seal pups in the Autumn. This holiday home is truly perfect, park your car for the week and just enjoy, you wont want to leave!

An unforgettable weekend

We stayed at New Cross House for the bank holiday weekend after our wedding, and had the most amazing time. The house is brilliant for hosting friends and family and the location was absolutely perfect, right in the centre of St. David’s! The host was great with communication and is such a kind person. I can’t fault our stay at New Cross House and would love to come back and stay again!

Beautiful, Spacious and Convenient

We had very mixed weather and the house accommodated both extremes. The sauna is a novel bonus. We shall have happy memories of a great family celebration. All round excellent rental!

A gem in the centre of St David’s

From booking to arrival the communication was fantastic. Jayne provided lots of local information which was invaluable. When we arrived at the property we were blown away by how amazing it was. Everything from the cleanliness, how beautiful it was, the size of the house and garden, great facilities and to being in the heart of St David’s. The fire pit/bbq was a fantastic way to spend a chilly evening toasting marshmallows. We were two families together (children aged 11, 11 and 8) and we absolutely loved it. The games room and sauna were fantastic and provided something for both generations. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property and location to others. Thank you Jayne for making us so welcome

Perfect place for big family

Groot huis waar je gemakkelijk met 8 volwassenen in kunt verblijven. Eventuele kinderen (klein) kunnen ook mee. Slaapkamers groot zodat je je terug kunt trekken. Hoge prijs misschien, maar voor ons was dat zeker de moeite waard. Prima host!

Fantastic home and location

This was an absolutely wonderful cottage. The house is amazing and had everything we could need. It seemed bigger than the pictures and was very cosy. Checking in was easy with a key box and the host was excellent, responding to queries quickly and offering lots of advice on beaches to visit and places to eat. We stayed for Christmas and the house had been decorated which was wonderful. The games room was a fantastic option in the evening as was the sauna after a long days walk. Unfortunately we didn’t quite have the weather to enjoy the outdoor areas, fire pit, patio and garden but I imagine these are perfect in the summer with the high walled garden offering a great sun trap. Highly recommend this large cottage for anyone wishing to explore the beautiful area of Pembrokeshire!

Amazing St David’s

Absolutely beautiful property with great facilities in a fabulous location. Communication with Jayne, the host, was so easy and she was really helpful and gave us lots of information about the house and the area. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Brilliant family house

Stayed for a long weekend with husband, mar-in-law and two kids. The house is very big and would suit two families easily. Amazing location to St David’s. We wish we had better weather, as it was torrential rain the whole time, but the games room was a godsend. Will stay again in a heartbeat and early Spring for definite. Thank you Jayne!

Superior holiday home

This was a very special treat for us. Having been many times to the St David's area thirty years ago, with young children in tow, we now returned with our not so young children. The house was very comfortable, well equipped and big enough for us all. We all loved the garden and outdoor spaces. The location of the house is absolutely perfect as a springboard for all those beautiful beaches and coastal walks.. Would love to return!!!

Luxurious accommodation in a fantastic location

New Cross House is a fabulous holiday base right in the middle of St David's. The house is really spacious, the garden area fantastic. We especially liked the BBQ area which was lovely to use and sheltered when necessary! The children loved the games room. The off street parking is invaluable , especially at this time of year. Everything in the house worked brilliantly, and the beds were fantastically comfortable- I think we all slept better than we ever have on holiday. The freshly cut flowers dotted around the house on our arrival were a really lovely extra touch- as were the home made cake and bottle of wine- we really got the feeling that Jayne wants her guests to enjoy their stay. We have stayed in many cottages around the UK over the years, and I really think New Cross has been the best we have ever encountered. We are very keen to return . This area of Pembrokshire is fantastic for "outdoors" families. Lots of bodyboarding, cliff jumping at The Blue Lagoon, lovely cycling, Porthgain with The Sloop Inn and fantastic Fish and Chips from The Shed ( much better than the disappointing F and C shop next door to the house!) . Lovely shops and pubs in St David's, and of course Solva around the corner, with beautiful coastal walks and little bays to explore. Many thanks for a lovely week.

style and substance

Absolutely loved our all too short stay in New Cross House, right in the heart of St David's. We were 7 (4 adults, 3 kids) which was great but the house would lend itself well to a friends' party or a family gathering. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished, combining classic and antique furniture and artwork with a contemporary feel, modern bathrooms and a fantastic games room. The house delivers both style and comfort and the secluded walled garden is stunning - incredibly secluded given its central location. Can';t wait to return in the summer to enjoy the covered fire area, sauna room and to wander into town or down to the beach.
