Private and quiet, dog friendly, 10 minute walk from all Solva has to offer.
Ty Aelwyd is situated in a quiet cul de sac in the lovely coastal village of Solva within walking distance of The Pembrokeshire Coast Path, Solva harbour, pubs and shops. Ty Aelwyd is a one bedroom apartment with porch, double bedroom, shower room, kitchen area and an upstairs living room tucked into the roof with views of the sea. Outside is a small, fenced garden area and parking. The apartment, which is an annexe to Aelwyd, is set to the side of the property with a separate entrance.
The approach to Ty Aelwyd is to the side of the property alongside a small, sunny garden area with patio furniture. You enter Ty Aelwyd through a sun porch, into a spacious double bedroom with adjoining shower and toilet. Adjacent to the bedroom, there is a kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, washing machine and microwave. A staircase leads up from the kitchen to a living room in the loft space with sofa, comfy chair, TV, dining table and chairs. From the living room there are views to the sea and a dormer window to enjoy our dark night skies.
From Ty Aelwyd there are walks in every direction, including on the Pembrokeshire Coast path, as well as a local bus service. Solva itself has a beautiful harbour, pubs, cafes, shops and lovely galleries. Within easy reach you can visit beaches such as Whitesands, Newgale and many smaller sandy beaches and rocky coves, the harbours of Porthgain and Porthclais and St.Davids with its famous Cathedral and Bishop's Palace.
Quiet and private and in good order. Garden well fenced. Nice location but a hilly walk to town.
No problems with the apartment but I was disappointed with the lounge. It's described as with a sea view but that's only when standing by a high velux window. There's no outlook when sitting. It's very dog friendly and has the benefit of a charming and helpful owner living next door. The distance into town is walkable but hilly. Solva itself is delightful and a good position for travel to other areas.
