Adventure awaits! Western NC and North GA abound with opportunities for recreation and relaxation. Set your sights on long-range views with visits to Bell Mountain in Hiawassee (30-minute drive) and Brasstown Bald (highest point in GA, 35-minute drive). Spend the day on Lake Chatuge with a boat or personal watercraft rental from a local marina or launch your own from nearby public access. Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) less than 5 minutes from the property. Fires Creek Recreation Area (25-minute drive) is another Western NC local favorite for hiking with picturesque views, swimming, and trout fishing. On the GA side, take a 30-minute drive to a waterfall hike via the High Shoals Falls Trail or make the 45-minute drive to Alpine Helen, GA for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hungry and thirsty after a day of exploration? Visit the outstanding local restaurants, wineries, and breweries in and around downtown Hayesville and Hiawassee for not-to-be-missed tastes of local flavor.

Step outside onto the spacious covered back deck that spans the entire length of the house — the best spot to soak up stunning lake views and breathtaking sunsets. Unwind on the porch swing or rocking chairs, gather around the outdoor fire pit, and let the gentle lake breeze melt your stress away.

Downstairs, enjoy a large den with a pool table and big-screen TV for movie nights and family fun. There’s also a king bedroom, a pull-out couch, a private full bath, and a laundry room — plenty of space for everyone.

End your day with a soak in the private hot tub on the covered front porch, or launch a canoe or kayak right from the community boat ramp to explore peaceful Lake Chatuge surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
