A car is required. Headford town is 10 minutes drive, Galway City 30 minutes. For those without a car, Headford (6 km) has a regular Bus Éireann and Burkes Bus service to Galway City.

pubs, live music, and independent shops. The Latin Quarter, Salthill promenade, and Claddagh village are all worth exploring.

Connemara National Park, the Sky Road, and the scenic town of Clifden are all within easy reach. Kylemore Abbey is approximately 90 minutes away.

A vibrant Mayo town with excellent restaurants. Croagh Patrick — Ireland's holy mountain — is nearby. The scenic drive back via the Killary fjord is spectacular.
● ROSS ERRILLY FRIARY (8 km)
One of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in Ireland, founded in 1349.

Campbells Tavern — 10 minutes — is a local favourite for traditional Irish music sessions. Headford town has several good options including the Anglers Rest and the Thatch Bar.
