Elk Manor is the perfect spot for rest and relaxation and is located close to nature at the headwaters of the upper Chattahoochee River. This lodge home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Enjoy the covered deck directly off the Master Suite upstairs, sip coffee and listen to the river as it flows by. Elk Manor is designed large windows with wrap around views of the river and property, so you never miss a moment in the nature surrounding you. The interior is tastefully designed with rustic touches, an amazing collection of taxidermy, & more. The kitchen offers an amazing view of the river, nobody will complain about doing dishes with a view like this! Enjoy the open air back deck with gorgeous seasonal views along the water.

This spacious level property is bordered by the Chattahoochee Wildlife Management Preserve. There is something for everyone: fishing, hiking, river tubing, biking, or just relaxing by the outdoor fire pit and picnic area. A fisherman's paradise, 150 yards of trout river frontage, catch your limit on the beautiful clear waters of the fast-flowing Chattahoochee River.

This beautiful home is located just minutes from the shopping and dining of the delightful alpine village of Helen, GA and a short drive to the spectacular Anna Ruby Falls, Dukes Creek Falls, Smithgall Woods Center, and Unicoi State Park.

We LOVED Elk Manor. The cabin is so cozy, and the surroundings are amazing - being right on the river was beautiful and peaceful. Also a short drive to town and some great hikes and fishing spots.

The host stayed in constant communication. There was a strong little squall of winds that came through while we were there and knocked out power a couple of times. The host stayed in contact. Beautiful cabin and location, right on the water. If ever back in this area, we would stay again. This is a perfect cabin for a group wanting to do a little fly fishing! The pictures describe it very well.

Great location and beautiful cabin

This was a wonderful stay and the cabin was prettier in person. It was right off of the river and the outdoor sounds and views were exactly what we needed for a restful vacation. Check-in was easy and everything was exactly as described. Great place to stay while you’re at Helen!

We had such a relaxing time. The sound of the water and being able to fish right off the deck was perfect. The cabin is beautiful inside. Was clean and the bed was comfy. Had all we needed to cook inside and outside on the grill. We definitely be going back.

Great weekend getaway

Cozy and quaint cabin right on the river. Did some fishing in the backyard and also at Smith Creek in nearby Unicoi State Park. Quick drive from the cabin into Helen for morning coffee and meals. Great place to get away for a few days.

Great trip

Overall, the Elk Lodge was great! Very nice rooms, wonderful outdoor spaces. The only thing I would say is that the stairs to get to the master bedroom were very steep so if you have a hard time with mobility, be careful. The property staff was excellent!

Beautiful cabin

The cabin was beautiful, rustic, and clean. The location was perfect, close to town but remote enough for privacy. The only problem was low water flow in certain faucets due to the extremely cold weather, but the property manager was responsive and resolved the issue.

A little bit of paradise!

We really enjoyed the stay here. The cabin is decorated nice. We love reading about "Mouse" and his service. We are hikers and this was close to some really nice hikes. Close to downtown Helen. The best part was relaxing on the deck while enjoying the river. We wished we had booked it for longer.
