Open floor plan with Kitchen & family room open up to newly added covered porch. Enjoy the view & sounds of the river while relaxing on the porch. Downstairs patio has seating & a Hot Tub. Fish, Hike, & Bike right out your front door! Steps away from wildlife management
Cabin is 2 story with Master Bedroom with King size bed, Full bathroom, huge walk in Pantry, Kitchen, Family Room with Fireplace & Dining area upstairs. Downstairs features Sitting room with wood burning stove, Full Bathroom, Two bedrooms with queen size beds, Walk in closet, & Laundry room. Upstairs porch has a beautifulRiver view, Adirondack chairs & rocking chairs for seating, propane gas Grill. Downstairs porch has Hot Tub, games & plenty of seating. River is across from house with private fenced in area with horseshoes, firepit, hammock & bench seating. Fishing, kayaking & tubing right from there. Pacman & Golf arcade games! This cabin was a real beauty! We spent liberty weekend here to celebrate my 15-year-old’s birthday. He brought two of his best friends and had an awesome time at the hot, tubbing right across the street, and roasting marshmallows right on the river at night! This place is very convenient just some of the other things I enjoyed as well like the hike at Ruby, Falls, the mountain roaster, mini golfing and the delicious German birthday lunch we had. Back in the cabin we celebrated his birthday on Sunday evening in the large porch. Priceless memories!!
Teenagers loved tubing- right across the cabin with the cabin provided tubes and also through the paid tubing company a mile away from the cabin
The German restaurant in Helen is delicious (teenager approved) and you get a view of the tubers

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay at this property. It is perfectly situated less than 10 minutes outside of town and the peaceful area was exactly what we were looking for. Communication with the owner was swift and smooth. We'll gladly let this be our Go To stay the next time we visit the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! LOVED the river view. The kids enjoyed tubing in front of the cabin daily. We saw a bear cross the river which was cool! Also loved watching the hummingbirds. VERY convenient to Helen. Cabin was nice and it was a relaxing stay. Would definitely come back!

Beautiful and Relaxing for the Family!

We loved this beautiful cabin and location! It was a perfect platform for our family of 5 (Two 20 somethings, a teen 2 y.o.). They all had a wonderful time. The property was just as described, and we had great communications with the owner. Be sure to take advantage of the fire pit by the Chattahoochee and bring your smores supplies! The cabin location is just far enough away from everything to really relax, but close enough to Helen and other natural activities, when we felt adventurous. Be sure to see Anna Ruby Falls and Raven Cliffs if you like a little hiking!

Great area to ride motorcycles

House was great for our needs,great location to ride scenic roads,cabin deck was perfect to return to,enjoy evening cocktails and listen to the river or rain. Enjoyed the beautiful flower beds,even made a fresh arrangement for the dinner table. Loved the convenience of being close to Helen but still being in the country.

Great place with access to the Chattahoochee

This is a great place that is thoughtfully furnished and has perfect location. We were able to cook several great meals in the very well equipped kitchen and enjoy the river each day. The house is secluded but an easy drive to all that the Helen area has to offer. If you are coming to the area we recommend this place for a great trip to the North Georgia Mountains.

Birthday weekend

We stayed the weekend to celebrate my wife and daughter in laws birthdays. The property was absolutely beautiful. I love the decor. And the kitchen was well equipped with all I needed to prepare a fabulous celebration dinner. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub with the peace of nature and the sound of the river flowing. We a blast at the private park area, took a dip in the brisk 56 degree water, had a fire in the fire pit, and even made smores. Downtown Helen is just a hop,skip,and jump away with plenty to see and do for everyone.Will definitely return and stay here if this property is available.

Perfect stay-cation!

The location on the river & private beach is fantastic. We tubed, sat around the fire, and played with our new friend “Happy.” Cabin is adorable! Has everything you might need. Very thoughtfully decorated. Just book it!

Beautiful home with lots to do

This is a beautiful house with lots to do and the owner was very responsive. Family enjoyed fishing right across the street, playing the video games, and relaxing in the hot tub. It is a short distance from downtown Helen so nice to be out of the crowds but have easy access. House was very clean and had everything we needed.

Weekend getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here. The location is great, close to Helen, but out far enough for quiet and privacy! There is so much to do at the cabin, we didn’t feel like we had to leave at all! Though we did enjoy exploring the area. Communication was great and we had all the information we needed.

Cozy Cabin

This property is spectacular! Location is great - out of town but not that far. Cabin was cozy and roomy. Great place to come back to after tubing, rafting, zip lining, and all the outdoor activities you can think of. Enjoyed down by the river playing horseshoes and lighting a fire. And the hot tub. We will be back in the future. I highly recommend this cabin.

Big time at The Big Bear

I have been to Helen many times over the years. I have stayed in different hotels and in nearby towns like Ellijay or Dahlonega. I found it almost overwhelming when trying to locate a property in which to stay for this recent trip. I wanted the cabin feel, waterfront, privacy, safety, cleanliness, fireplace and outdoor hot tub. Not only did this property provide all of the above, I felt as if someone just opened the doors to their home and welcomed us in. We were greeted with lights and heat on (even though it was midnight when we arrived). There was a chilled bottle of champagne and a round of Camembert cheese in the fridge. It was only briefly mentioned in text that we were there to celebrate an anniversary. Thank you from the Brooks’ to the Grow family! I found it unbelievable how well thought out the host was in providing the myriad of amenities. We took walks along the river, made s’mores at the riverside fire pit. Pitched horseshoes and fished. Loved the enclosed and private area for sitting in the hot tub. Only around the corner, figuratively, from downtown Helen. The privacy and seclusion was exactly what I had envisioned. In reality the property is so nice and accommodating that I found myself reluctant to go into town. Looking back, it was all quite extraordinary. PS I am reluctant to say too many positive things because I want it to be available every time I return to the area! A funny
 but somewhat true!

Perfect Location

Big Bear is close enough to town that it doesn’t feel like an inconvenience to go do things, yet it is far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. The owner was very helpful and quick to respond to questions. The cabin is right on the river so we could enjoy nature at its best. My only regret was not getting to see a bear during our stay.
