Guests will truly enjoy River Haus: a rustic one bedroom, one bath cabin while listening to the sounds of the river running by from the open deck overhanging the river. A fisherman's paradise - trout fishing right in front of your own cabin - catch your limit on the beautiful clear waters of the fast-flowing Chattahoochee River.
The property is close to the Chattahoochee Wildlife Management Preserve. This perfect spot for rest and relaxation is located close to nature and the headwaters of the Upper Chattahoochee River. There is something for everyone in the area- fishing, hiking, river tubing, or horseback riding at Sunburst Stables, or just relaxing on the deck. It is located only 1 mile from the vibrant center of Helen, GA. It's the perfect vacation cabin for a couple.

We highly enjoyed our stay. This small cabin is perfect for two. While the weather was uncooperative for us to enjoy sitting outside, this cabin is literally right on the river. In better weather it would be relaxing to sit outside and listen to the river. This cabin had everything we needed for our short stay, was an easy walk or drive to the main drag, and was exactly as pictured. We would return.

We loved the cabin and its location. Was able to check in a little early which worked out great. Cabin was very clean. Easy walk into downtown. Loved watching floaters down the river and listening to the water. Only fault was the noise of the traffic on the other side of the river. But we did love the cabin. Would highly recommend staying there.

rustic and isolated but in a location that was right around from the main drag. The tubers came down the river for daily entertainment. Could not have been better.

Lovely little cabin! Everything we needed for a quick getaway! I would suggest cleaning the outdoor chairs as they are covered in mold but we brought our own anyways so didnt effect our stay! Loved being walking distance to everything in helen!

Wonderful Stay – Already Planning to Return!The property was absolutely perfect for us—peaceful, relaxing, and with the added bonus of great entertainment watching people tubing down the river. Everything inside was clean, inviting, and easy to access, making our stay truly comfortable.The only downside was the condition of the riverbank upon arrival—there were beer bottles and broken glass scattered around. It’s unclear whether that was left by previous renters or washed in from the active river, but it did take away a bit from the beautiful setting.That said, communication with the rental company was excellent—they were responsive and helpful throughout our stay. And to top it off, we even got to see a bear on our last night!We’re already planning to come back next year. Highly recommend this place!

Nasty,cluttered,dusty terrible old very uncomfortable and squeaky bed needs replacing. Entire exterior needs pressure washing. Cabin and exterior. Filthy kitchen drawers and utensils. Needs dishwasher next to refrigerator. Rugs nasty. Porch and patio cushions and furniture filthy. Need replacing. We won’t be back. Way too expensive but we rented because we expected perfection for that price. Terrible.

Honeymoon in Helen

Great clean quiet place. Everything as advertised. Would been perfect in a couple of weeks later as the temperature warmed up enough to open the windows at night to really get the sound of the water; but was OK with the windows closed! Had a little problem with the coffee pot(probably our error) but managed and sugar ants in the bathroom sink! WE ENJOYED OUR STAY AT RIVER HAUS!!!

Great little cabin

Rustic cabin on the river. Was able to fish right out of the door. I will say there were some little bugs (weevles?) and ants in the kitchen. Need to be sprayed.

CabinDownstairs bathroom broken. Was told by vm someone was on their way to fix. No show. Couldn’t used lower bedroom due to no br. I had a knee surgery. Fire pit on patio I was told there was one. I’m not connecting it. Later told it’s lined into the propane. Igniter doesn’t work any. Tv frozen. No fireplace usage April to October. Except amenities list a fireplace. No wifi codeExcrement on tp roll. Dryer doesn’t work. On roll when we arrived.

Quick getaway with Mom

I wanted a place to take my 92 year old mom where we could mosey around Helen and enjoy the sights and sounds of the river. This cabin was absolutely perfect! Great location and the spot on the river was great. I can’t wait to go back with my husband sometime!

Brief stay

We decided to go to Helen for a few days to celebrate our anniversary just to relax and enjoy Helen in the off season, our stay at River Haus was great, it’s close to town yet on the river. Yes the main road is just on the other side of the river but the traffic was light so it didn’t bother us. Communication was great. Thank you!
