Minutes from downtown Hendersonville, about 20 minutes from Asheville, and close to all of the beautiful hiking parks that the area has to offer, not to mention unique shopping adventures, everything is easily accessed by car, and is ready for your visit!

There is no neighborhood! This is a great place to escape for some peace and quiet!

You'll have the whole barn to yourself, plus access to the creek (that has a firepit next to it).

We've also been working on recent upgrades, such as a brand new king-sized bed, your stay will be more comfortable, and enjoyable!

Another wonderful stay!

This is our third time staying at The Barn and it won’t be our last. Everything that you need is provided for you down to ample firewood! It’s always so peaceful and beautiful there. The hosts are extremely responsive as well and lovely people.

A Hidden Gem Just Outside Hendersonville

I’ve stayed at The Barn at Slick Rock multiple times now, and at this point it feels less like a rental and more like my home base in the mountains. The space itself is incredible. It’s a beautifully restored barn that somehow manages to feel both rustic and refined at the same time. You get all the charm of exposed wood beams and that cozy, tucked-away feel, but with every modern comfort you could want. It’s the kind of place where you walk in and immediately relax. What really makes it special for me is the location. It’s perfectly situated just outside Hendersonville, making it an ideal spot for hiking trips. I can spend the day out on the trails and come back to a quiet, peaceful retreat where I can unwind, read, and just enjoy the surroundings. The hosts are wonderful people and truly make the experience even better. Their communication is excellent, and they are always available before and during my stay, which makes everything feel seamless and stress free. Everything is always clean, thoughtfully set up, and consistently welcoming. You can tell a lot of care went into both the restoration and the guest experience. I honestly look forward to staying here every time I’m in the area. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a true escape but still has all the comforts of home, this is it.

Amazing!

The Barn was the most wonderful place to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The Barn and the property were absolutely beautiful. Our favorite part was watching the sunrise every morning by the fire. We sipped our coffee and just sat in awe of Gods beautiful sky He painted each morning. The weather could not have been better! The moss covered path to the creek and the hammock was just dreamy…ideal for napping. We are already thinking about when we can return. I’m so glad we booked the barn for this special getaway. If you are considering it, just do it. You will not regret it.

The Barn at Slick Rock - A Perfect Peaceful Retreat

The Barn at Slick Rock has become my go-to haven for peace and relaxation. I've stayed here many times, and each visit is more precious and beautiful than the last. The serene atmosphere, combined with the thoughtful touches and well-stocked accommodations, makes every stay unforgettable. The hosts are incredibly attentive and always go the extra mile to ensure my time here is perfect. Despite the recent devastation that Western North Carolina faced, nearly everything in the area is open and thriving. The resilience and warmth of the people here are truly inspiring, and there’s absolutely no reason to stay away. This region continues to be as breathtaking as ever. For anyone who loves walking or wants to enjoy time outdoors with their dog, the nearby Oklawaha Greenway in Hendersonville is a must. This stunning three-mile paved trail follows the river, offering a peaceful escape and a perfect addition to your visit. I can’t recommend The Barn at Slick Rock enough—each stay leaves me feeling refreshed, grateful, and eager to return. Thank you to the incredible hosts for creating such a special place!
