What makes Viola special is the feeling that you are in the middle of nowhere. The property is close to everything, yet private and secluded. Surrounded by trees and birdlife, you will feel like you are a long way from the city.

Beautiful outdoor deck area with BBQ and seating for 6. Hotel grade linen and towels are included. Your four legged friends are most welcome, as we have a small back yard at the rear. They are also welcome inside.

Viola has everything you need including: a 55 inch TV, stove, microwave, fridge, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, complimentary coffee and pod machine, twinings teas. There are 2 split systems, WiFi, along with heating in all rooms. This property may prove challenging for guests with mobility issues due to the steep path and stairs.

Both bedrooms have queen sized, pillow top beds with electric blankets, heating and fans. Only a 5 minute walk from the famous Hepburn Springs Bathhouse and Spa and the cafes of Hepburn Springs.

Sit on the couch, look out the window and take in the calming view that is Viola at Hepburn Springs.

Old colonial feel workers cottage

So beautiful, the interior decorating so sympathetic with the house. The log fire, the view through the french doors over the elevated deck and the sense of space on top of the hill. We enjoyed the DVD player, the beautiful linen, electric blanket and all the little things like tea, milk and coffee. Thank you so much, we will be back.

Lovely stay

My friend and I were doing a catchup after 3 years and Viola Cottage was the perfect place for us. It was enchanting from the moment we pulled up in the driveway and we couldn't wait to see inside. Once we got inside we weren't disappointed. It was quirky, charming, inviting and beautifully styled. From the ample coffee and tea supplies to the unexpected bottle of wine chilling in the fridge there was everything we needed for a brilliant stay and the outside space was delightful. We will definitely stay here again.

Relaxing stay amongst the trees

We had a fantastic time staying at Viola, the bush setting is beautiful and private. We particularly enjoyed sitting out on the deck at night having dinner. We have already booked our next stay !!

Just Perect

I arrived to lights and air con and fan on as it was a warm day, this was appreciated. The place is so quaint, I loved the big windows looking out into the treetops and it was perfect for me and my doggos for a few nights away and some reflection time. There were lots of spaces, with the deck and table and then the front verandah with the couches, I will definitely be back!

Just what we needed

My teenage daughter and I stayed in this property for our 2 day getaway. It is within walking distance to Hepburn Bathhouse and only a short drive to Daylesford Centre. The property was tastefully decorated and was made warm and cozy for our arrival. We will be back for another stay soon!

Perfect location, beautifully furnished

We loved staying here. So much so that we were lucky enough to extend our stay. Close to everything, but secluded at the same time. The decor was just wonderful too, and the pillows and bed in the main bedroom were super comfy (these things make a big difference!). It was really special - and we even spotted an echidna in the garden.

A cosy forest house that exceeded expectations

Four of us (2 couples) stayed for a colder than usual Easter, so we had the fire crackling away each evening. Viola was nestled off the main road in a quiet forest, except for bird sounds, and within walking distance of Hepburn Bathhouse and a short drive up to Daylesford. The house was perfect with comfy sofa’s, functional kitchen, big beds and a well heated bathroom with strong shower. We loved our stay. Would definitely come back again.

A peaceful place in a lovely spot

We have been a few times to this cottage and both of us plus the dogs love it . Viola is situated close to the Spa Retreat and lots of good walking tracks . The cottage is always clean and well equipped . It is very pleasant to to sit in the outdoor areas too!

A relaxing escape from the Ring of Steel

It was great to see the outdoors after months of Melbourne lockdown (we had booked to stay in September but kept having to delay our visit). We really enjoyed our stay in this very pretty cottage. There was no Netflix or DVD player (despite the numerous DVDs on the shelves), which was disappointing - we had a few shows lined up to watch on the day it rained and rained and rained. Otherwise, though, this was a perfect visit and we would certainly return.

Very cute cottage in a peaceful location. We had terrible weather unfortunately so did not get out as much as we would have liked with our dog, but we enjoyed the local food and Netflix.

Cosy cottage in very convenient location

Great few nights away. Cottage was cosy and private yet in easy walking distance to spa, hikes, Hepburn Springs. Appreciated the quality linen and a heater had been put on prior to our arrival. Fresh flowers and hamper nice touches. It would be helpful to have a fire iron for the combustion heater.
