The breakfast could have been better (weak coffee, Gatorade instead of juice) and I noticed a couple of small roaches in my room. It was the least expensive place in the area that I could find and now I know why.

The overall stay was good. It was quit and peaceful. the building was obviously not new, but it was kept up well. The sliding door to the bathroom didn't have an operating lock, but that isn't a huge issue. My biggest concern was the mattress seemed to be pretty old because the middle sagged badly. Not a deal breaker just a little tough on my 65 year old back. I would stay here again if I were in Morganton again.

The hotel was under construction so the lobby was extremely hot with no air. We arrived about 10:30 and had reservations but the man at the desk was in a bad mood and said things that were negative/out of place. The room's air conditioner was not on at all after a 100 degree day and it never really got comfortable during the night and in the morning when the sun came up it was not pleasant. Some lights didn't work. All of the fixtures including toilet and shower were turning yellow and stained from age. The worst part was the toilet that took at least 3 flushes to work properly. We will look elsewhere next time.
