Staff and food were excellent. Property is old and needs upgrading. It rained overnight while we were there and the hotel leaked in corridors. Water everywhere in corridors and the stairs between floors. Rooms acceptable but not as clean as they should be. This hotel has a sister hotel across the street and that is where most of the facilities are, big onsen bath etc.

Very beautiful Ibsen hotel great for a getaway! It said it was close to a beach but if you don’t mind driving 30 minutes to an hour to get to a beach then it was fantastic. Very nice to sit in the Ibsen and listen to the waves crash after a long day! The food was phenomenal! There was so much good food I had to stop eating but I couldn’t help but try one more! Overall great stay just wish it was closer to the beach.

Great hotel, but the pool closes at 5pm and doesn't open until 9am. The nice staff let us swim after 5pm. The breakfast is set only at a certain time so that can be inconvenient. Overall, very nice hotel and the staff is amazing!

I just looking for a simple hotel to stay, close to the beach and I've found more than that at the Shinyu no Yado Sazana. Gorgeous hotel with a great Asian decoration, beautiful rooms, outdoor pool and great staff. Couldn't be better.

The facilities are OK, but we felt it was too expensive for the cost of lodging without breakfast. We also felt that the staffs were not kind and friendly compared with the other Japanese inns or hotels we used. In addition, thee places for dinner or breakfast were scares near the hotel.
