The Lodge is created from two, 1950s family tobacco barns that sit almost in the lake. This fully modern and authentic Lodge will ensure a comfortable stay for groups up to 12 in their adventure to Lake Nichols.
The lake is loaded with largemouth bass, catfish, speckled perch, bream, and bluegill and home to bald eagles, osprey, and many more birds and creatures. Although fishing season is February 1 through October 31, fishing from the bank and docks is available year round and included with the Lodge rental. Fishing from a boat that you provide is an additional cost and only allowed during the fishing season. Up to three boats are allowed with the rental. No fishing license is required. The Lodge is also available for small events. For more information on fishing, events, and food provisions available, see the ânicholslakeâ website.
Lake Nichols dates before the Civil War and has been the home of a grist mill, cotton gin, turpentine plant, and small community; some original structures still stand. This private lake is creek fed and has been a fishing lake for decades. It is loaded with largemouth bass, catfish, speckled perch, bream, and bluegill. The Nichols family is the fourth and longest family to have owned this property in recorded Georgia history. Lake Nichols is the areaâs premier fishing destination.
