Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart is a charming hotel located in the heart and harbour of Hobart. My partner and myself have a very spacious room with a beautiful view over the harbour. Or room was modern with a low key luxurious feel that I enjoyed. The staff are friendly and accommodating and there for any of your wants and needs. Being in a prime location in the city the Hotel Grand Chancellor is walking distance for night marks shopping areas and restaurants.
Our stay was extremely enjoyable. Nothing negative. On arrival the checkin assistant explained all about dining options in the area as well as providing us with helpful information about our planned trip to Bruny Island. The cocktail lounge is great and you can enjoy a pint overlooking the harbour. Pillow options in the room were a special treat.
Breakfast is amazing and the best part is the service levels delivered by the young dark haired waitress (Savannah I think her name was) —she is absolutely running that dining room with levels of efficiency and friendliness seldom seen. Some should give that young lady a permanent job and she’ll revolutionise your business.

Room cleaned fairly promptly when staying for a few days, this hotel is in a great location near the waterfront. Bar and restaurant both good. I would certainly stay there again if visiting Hobart and would recommend it
It was good except on the first of 3 nights, during our shower, soapy water came out of the drain in bathroom floor near the sink. We reported it to reception but it happened again the next night and third night.
Obviously it was not fixed and we did not bother reporting again because we should not have to. So 3 stars for property and conditions.
We had a fabulous stay! The hotel is perfectly located on the harbor and walking distance to ferries, markets, restaurants. The view from the hotel is also fabulous! It was my birthday and Ranjh made it extra special by sending up a bottle of wine. Thank you!!
We had an executive suite on the 15th floor, very comfortable and spacious with magnificent views across the harbour. Loved that it was flat walking to wharf, restaurants and Salamanca. Always something to see and do. Great cocktail bar on the ground floor to finish the days activities!

Great location and polite staff. Room windows could do with some maintenance as our room window on level 19 could not be closed properly but OK for 1 nights stay. However also am not sure why it could open as is a safety hazard.
