Toogooloowa on Davey 2:
A stylish eclectic self-catering apartment with contemporary furnishings and appliances offset against textiles, chairs and stools from Ethiopia, African sculpture, textiles and a little flavour of Africa.

Beautifully presented and recently renovated Grd entry room with stairs to first floor 2 bedroom apartment with designer kitchen and luxury Queen size bed as well as second bedroom with King size bed which can be separated to make comfortable single beds.

To keep things comfortable the apartment has air conditioning/heating, Double glazing for warmth & noise reduction and leather lounge.

To relax the apartment has a 37" High def LCD TV with digital tuner and DVD player or enjoy the the balcony with outside table and chairs.

Complimentary first morning light breakfast pack including Coffee, Tea, Cereal, milk and bread and spreads provided.


To keep in touch free Wifi Broadband is available on request.
The service is always available for standard email and browsing but is not suitable for gaming nor downloading large volumes. Hopefully it will improve when the NBN cable arrives.

Facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, hair dryer, dishwasher, on site laundry and one undercover car park.

Portable cot and baby chair are also available on request.

Upper Davey Street historic precinct

Toogooloowa 2 is superbly located at the quiet end of Davey Street with an easy 1.8 km walk down to the Hobart CBD, Salamanca and the waterfront or to the University of Tas.

It is situated among the grand old heritage homes of upper Davey St just a short stroll along historic garden lined streets to South Hobart's shops and restaurants to the Cascade brewery and the Hobart Rivulet walk.

This self contained apartment is the perfect home away from home. Suitable for short or longer stays all at a very reasonable tariff.

If you are considering a sea-change and moving to Tasmania or visiting UTAS for a summer school or semester special arrangements can be made for longer stays.



Toogooloowa

This apartment occupies the upper floor of the stables in the grounds of Toogoolowa a beautiful heritage listed Victorian mansion which surrounds the original colonial 2 room cottage built as the first dwelling in the area during the early 1800s and the Georgian extension that was built over and around the cottage some years later.

Visitors are welcome to smell the roses, share and relax in the huge wild garden with splendid views to Mount Wellington at the rear of Toogooloowa.

All rooms were clean and tidy and well stocked with towels and comfortable linen. The bathroom was clean and well looked after. Having a kitchen, lounge room and a place sit and eat dinner are all good selling points.Parking was available and close to the unit. The location was perfect, the property had everything we needed and was clean, however, there is a huge crack in the wall from floor to ceiling through which you could see daylight as you walked up the stairs. This needs addressing.

Amazing, relaxing few days about 20 minute walk into town but a lovely walk. Quiet location lovely views and nice basket surprise with some bread, jam, sugar, tea, coffee etc. I would stay there again if I revisited Hobart.

Aircon had broken down prior to our stsy, luckily westher was cool. Kitchen was not really clean, 2nd bedroom bed mattress sunken and very uncomfortable, wokecwith bad back. Apartment 2 was as described. It was very comfortable, including the beds. While it did not have modern decor it had everything we needed.It was quiet and we love South Hobart.
