The Choice: Oceanfront Comfort in Surf City

Looking for an immersive beach cabin to take you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Choose The Choice! A traditional one-story oceanfront beach home located just outside the business district of Surf City. This home offers accommodations for groups of 8 or less, with direct beach access and a covered oceanfront deck that features a porch swing. Enjoy the gorgeous sunrise views at breakfast, hit the beach, and have a drink while catching up with loved ones on the deck in the evening.

The Choice offers an open-concept living/dining/kitchen space so you can enjoy your group's company whether cooking, eating, or gathering around for a game or movie. Enjoy access to the oceanfront deck via the sliding glass door. The kitchen of The Choice offers most of the necessities of the home, including all major appliances and utensils. The dining room offers seating for 6 and bar stools at the counter. The family room offers a true beach living experience, with sea-style decor and enough seating for 8 (including 2 sofas - one of which is a Queen sleeper sofa - and a chair). The living area is also equipped with a flat-screen TV, a Roku streaming device, and a DVD player (so bring your family favorites or rent them locally!).

The sleeping quarters of The Choice include 3 bedrooms with private TVs. The first bedroom is equipped with a Queen bed, the second bedroom on the street side has a Queen bed, and the third bedroom, also located on the street side, offers a Queen bed. The Choice does not have a washer and dryer on the premises, so pack accordingly and feel free to utilize the dressers and closets.

Beautiful view

We loved staying right on the beach and the porch was nice. Loved the location. Close to the pier and downtown. If it had a washer and dryer, we would definitely stay here every year!

Beachfront

The stove has one burner that is not working. Some of the dishes were obviously not clean so we washed everything when we got there. Lots of sand in the house. Love the location and the house was great other than what I mentioned. We definitely left the house cleaner than we found it.

On the beach!!!

The house was in a perfect location for us. The weather was perfect!!! It was as pictured on the site so we knew it was a little dated but not a big deal for us. The biggest issue/ but not a huge issue was the sliding door to go on the deck was super hard to open & close and there was no screen so we couldn’t just leave it open. There is a raised spot in the middle of the house that runs the length of the house even onto the deck so we did trip a few times but we also have a few not so grace people in our group. None of that hurt our stay in the slightest.

There's plenty of room and it is so close to the beach. The fridge was not the best but we enjoyed our stay.

Great ocean front 3bd in Surf City

Good value and great peaceful location. Nearly private beach but 3 minute drive to retail near the pier. Good size porch overlooking the Atlantic. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Mix of new and old decor won't impress anyone but is very functional and comfortable. Newer furniture in the open family room. Nice having two full baths. Plenty of parking. Had a small charcoal grill. Did not have any beach chairs or sand toys. Rental agency interaction was friendly and helpful.

No bunk bed on property

The cottage was great other then the fact that the description online says The Choice has a queen, two fulls and a bunk bed. The only reason I rented it is because the description says it sleeps 8. This is not true. It only sleeps 6. 2 of our kids had to sleep on the couches in the living room. Their was no bunk bed in the cottage. Other then that we enjoyed our stay on the island as always. Surf city is my favorite place but I won't be renting the choice again.

Nice little cottage - oceanfront đŸ‘đŸœ

The house is nice. Double parking driveway. Hard to see to get out due to shrubs being overgrown. Makes backing out very dangerous. The beach is very nice in that area and having the deck access to the surf is very convenient. Spray off shower and hose on deck helps getting sand off from the beach. Overall, a nice place to stay. âœŒđŸœ

Great beach and house!

More room than appears in the photos, which is great! There IS a dishwasher, unlike is stated online. Two full baths, which is also not really apparent in the photos, it seems more like a bath & a half. We loved our week in The Choice!
