Under new ownership, Cove at Sandy Pointe 208 was renovated in Fall 2023 — new floors, furniture, small kitchen appliances, and updated décor throughout. The result is a well-configured two-bedroom condo that feels current without losing the relaxed character that makes this complex work.

The private lanai overlooks both the heated pool and the mangrove preserve — two views in one outdoor space. Morning coffee here with the pool quiet below and the mangroves beyond is one of those details that ends up in guest reviews. The pool is large, heated, and available year-round.

Inside, the unit sleeps six across two bedrooms and the living room. The master has a king bed with an en-suite bathroom. The guest bedroom has two twin beds with ample closet space and ceiling fans. The living room sleeper sofa handles the remaining guests. Smart TVs in both bedrooms and the living room. High-speed WiFi throughout.

The kitchen is fully stocked for a week of meals at home. The washer and dryer is located in the kitchen — compact and convenient, worth knowing before arrival. A private storage room in the parking garage holds beach chairs, umbrella, beach wagon — grab everything on the way to the water and roll it back when you're done.

The Gulf beach is a 12-minute walk or 4-minute drive. The free Anna Maria Island trolley stops nearby — car-free island exploration is genuinely possible. Two designated covered parking spaces are included for guests who drive.

Cove at Sandy Pointe 208 requires a one-week minimum stay with parking for two vehicles. Not pet-friendly.

Great location

The condo had everything we needed. The pool was nice and everyone we met at the pool was very nice. Location was great as it is centrally located on the island. We could walk or bike everywhere we wanted to go. We would stay at this property again.

We stayed here with our kids for our spring break. It was our first time on AMI so I wasn't sure about location, but this worked out perfectly. It is within walking distance to multiple restaurants, the beach, Publix and you are at the midway point for both ends of the island. oftpoint

the property is the same as it has ever been. convenient to where we want to go to when on the island. the condo itself is nice enough and when we had my sister came to play cards one night, I wished we had a few more chairs to fit around the table but we managed. We've had this same condo numerous times and it is definitely worth repeating again.

AMI Getaway

Property was wonderful. The only problem we had was the check in process. We were unaware of the buildings being numbered individually and that we entered both the Sunbow AND Cove properties. When I put the address in my GPS, it just brought us into Sunbow. And there are no signs for the cove until you get to the back and there’s that little sign before you cross the bridge so we initially went to the wrong unit within Sunbow. In addition the code to the property that was given to us by the property manager was just four numbers we did not realize we had to hit the checkmark also ….so that caused an issue in gaining entry ….and then finally …the passwords on the placard inside the unit were incorrect, other than those initial problems, the stay was wonderful

Property was very rundown, in need of a complete overhaul Dust clumps hanging from walls Had to go to rental company to report the filthy condition of the air conditioner filter. It was replaced immediately BUT did nothing to clean the dirty air conditioner vents in all rooms. I wondered about the quality of the air we were breathing. Annoying things like patio doors very difficult and noisy to slid. My husband had to buy lubricant to apppy to the doors…helped very little. In general I would not recommend this rental. I hear it is to be painted but it’s overall condition needs a lot more than paint. Their ad claims “ lovingly maintained “ This is far from true. When I visited the rental company the agent said the unit is always rented so there is no time free to overhaul it. This is what I dealt with. I do NOT recommend this unit and advise you to contact them before you rent to see if any of the important issues have been addressed.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Obviously owned by an absentee landlord. The soffit in the kitchen in front of the AC vent was covered in dust and dirt, there is black and green mold in the bathrooms, the sliding doors to the lanai barely slide, the two sofas are dilapidated and should have been replaced long ago, the walls are in dire need of paint, not to mention the Formica coming off on the countertops and vanities. Definitely not worth the money and they raised the price for next year! The good part is the condo is a short walk to the beach!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the location was convenient. Loved proximity to Publix and about a 10 minute walk to the beach. We were not impressed with the unit itself. it definitely needs to be updated! We have been condo owners ourselves and and felt a responsibility to provide a clean and fresh place to stay. This unit needs paint, bedding (one twin bed frame was broken), better stocked kitchen and a deep clean. My sister stayed in the one next to us and it was much nicer and cleaner. We had issues with the pool which was disappointing as we booked for the use of a pool, but I will give the manager credit for compensating us. However we would much rather has use of the pool. But he was very helpful. So we appreciated that.
