Set in its own private field in the heart of North Wales, Altair is a peaceful off-grid cabin designed for couples and small families. With space for two adults and bunk beds for two children, it’s a cosy retreat for those looking to slow down and soak up nature. The cabin is surrounded by the rolling hills of the Clwydian Range, part of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty—perfect for walking, wildlife spotting, and fresh-air adventures.
Altair offers a quiet base just off Denbigh Road, not far from Holywell. You’ll park beside the farm’s outbuilding and take a short walk (about 250m) through the field to reach the cabin. Once there, it’s just you, the hills, and the sounds of the countryside.
Whether you’re hiking nearby trails, exploring local villages, or simply enjoying a board game by the fire, Altair is ideal for families wanting to unplug and reconnect.
By car Altair is only 50 mins from Liverpool, 1h 15mins from Manchester or around 4 hours from London. Altair is also easily accessed via public transport - being only a short 20 minute taxi ride from the nearest station (Hawarden station).
Parking is available on-site - with a short walk to the cabin from the parking location. Wellies are provided for guests in the log store - in the event the track to the cabin is muddy.
