Diamond Head crater behind us, there really is no better spot.

Floor to ceiling full sliding doors in the living area
ensure your guests at gatherings enjoy truly the best views.
Whether that be the surfers, paddlers from the Outrigger club (next door),
or the evening sailboat flotilla that coasts ahead of you as you sip a
Mai Tai at sunset.

The penthouse itself has 2 bedrooms +plus modern bathroom & a well-equipped kitchen.
Please note you walk through one bedroom to get to the second.

Our suite is entirely yours for the duration of your stay
with its full-length private lanai (that has ample seating for eight)
included, should you wish to have friends over to share your

Sunrise over Diamond Head

Indeed a true gem - great position away from the bustle of Waikiki central but still easy 20 minute walk away, with panoramic breathtaking views around you. Folding doors opened , extension table opened - perfect spot for breakfast. Lanai in the afternoon - for a kip , catch the sea breeze, spotting for whales - see them most days heading east. Great snorkelling below, with mask and flippers (including boogie boards x2 and a surfboard) provided. Saw turtles but missed the oppurtunity to swim with them. No beach access however. Slightly rocky. Safe ways ( and Leonard's Malasadas!) walking distance away - don't really need Waikiki. Comfy beds, city views from bedroom, heaps of cupboard space. Pillows could be better though... Kitchen well equipped. Cooling works well but didn't need it. We'll be back in a heartbeat! Thanks for your help, Mark (great to deal with)! Mahalo!

Two couples celebrating anniversaries using this Vrbo property as their base. After reviewing other options up & down Waikiki beach for rental, selected this site as the Best. And it was. Convenient, spacious, functional kitchen & with on-site parking. We couldn't have been happier. Thanks!

Perfect Location in Wiakiki

This is a beautiful condo in the perfect location. It is a quick walk down the beach to get to the excitment of Wiakiki, but far enough out that you can still drive easily to other parts of the island for exploration. If you like to run there is a great run, about 6 km, around Diamond Head. The condo is great, the lanai has a spectacular view out over the water where you can nearly always see surfer and the canoe from the club a couple of building down the beach. The only funny thing is that the entrance to the second bedroom if from the first rather than off the hallway. That said, I would still book this condo when back on Oahu. As a matter of fact I tried, but it was already rented for my dates.

PERFECTLY AMAZING

My family had to most amazing time here. I began every morning and ended every day out on the lanai. I’ve never seen such beautiful views. I highly recommend this location. The check in process was very easy and the hosts were easy to communicate with! We will definitely be back some day.

The Penthouse

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The property was exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable. When we weren’t out exploring the beautiful island, we were sitting on the balcony watching the surfers. It was splendid!!

Great location and views!

We enjoyed our stay. The location and views can't be beat. Within walking of restaurants, shopping and beaches. We even walked to the KCC farmers market on Saturday which was great! The unit could use a refresh of the bathroom but overall a very pleasant stay.

Location and views are fantastic and don’t disappoint. The condo has some wear and tear that shows but okay. Cleanliness was okay but for me not great. You could see fingerprints on the cabinets in the kitchen and doors throughout which looked like they had been there a while. This bothered me the most. Dirt buildup on baseboards and tile. A little cleaning adjustment would go a long way. Overall our stay was still good and relaxing!

Great location, not great apartment

Pros: the views are breathtaking and the location is first rate. Cons: This apartment could use a total refresh. It’s old and everything needs to be replaced. The outdoor dining is a misnomer. The sliding doors need to be open to erect the table so it is not possible to have both outdoor dining and indoor air conditioning. The second bedroom is as wide as the bed. It is only accessible through the other bedroom.

Can’t beat this view!

We’ve been staying at the DBH for 30+ years, back when it was a hotel, and loved coming back recently for a family reunion over thanksgiving. The condo was great- everything we needed during our stay, and the balcony view can’t be beat!

Fantastic view

The property was everything advertised. Fantastic view. We could see the Saturday fireworks (although they were a little far away). This is a super convenient location for everything we were doing on this trip. I would recommend this property and will likely rent it again.

Wonderful Place with Wonderful Views

Walking distance to the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, but just adjacent enough that you have quiet mornings and only hear the ocean at night. Truly fantastic views, with a three-sided balcony, you're able to see the ocean, Diamond Head, and the Honolulu skyline. Went there to celebrate my engagement, and I feel like I've found a hidden gem. Will be recommending this place to all of my friends!

Awesome Ocean View

This fantastic penthouse condo on the 13th floor has a truly awesome huge view of the great big blue ocean and Diamond Head! Every room has an amazing view. There are gigantic sliding glass doors that open up completely so you get an unobstructed view and the refreshing breeze cools the place down. The lanai balcony looks out over the sea with surfers, sailboats, and jaw-dropping sunsets. The furnishings are very comfortable and attractive. The kitchen is well-stocked. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The master bedroom is quite spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The 2nd bedroom is much smaller, the bed is a little too firm and cramped in, and you have to walk through the master to get in, so it’s really not ideal for adults. Also it gets stuffy and hot in the 2nd bedroom even with the AC on, so it would have been better to have a portable fan available. The property manager was very helpful and easy to communicate with. It’s definitely worth it to pay the fee for the underground garage assigned parking space. The building has a nice garden area with lounge chairs overlooking the sea. There’s a metal ladder going down from the sea wall that makes it easy to go swimming or snorkeling. Also lovely Sans Souci Beach is a very short walk down the street and the great Hau Tree beachfront restaurant is right there.

Was worth it

The main positive for this unit are the views. Worth the price and everything that follows is petty and not a deal breaker. The unit has amazing views of the ocean and the mountains and it was in a wonderful location with easy access to everything. If you’re traveling and using this unit with other adults, I probably wouldn’t recommend. The second “bedroom” only has access by going through the master bedroom, so there will not be ANY privacy. If your traveling with small children you are probably use to not having privacy so the second room would be perfect. During our visit the heat and humidity apparently was higher than usual so the unit was hot and those poor little window units were not able to keep up and do the job; they ran the entire time. The second “bedroom” was the least comfortable in regards to temperature. The room never cooled down even with the air conditioning unit running non-stop. Keeping the curtains closed seemed to help a bit but you lose the beautiful view of the ocean. The air conditioning units when running are super loud so I felt like there was never any peace and quiet. You had a trade off, loud window units with some cool air flowing or turn them off and enjoy quiet but be hot. Opening the sliding doors adds to the experience and is awesome to hear the waves crashing but the unit heats up quickly. We loved the shower. Water shooting from all directions and plenty of room for shower activities. We really liked the full length window with the clear shower curtain. Every room has a view including the shower. We purchased a parking spot in the garage. The garage is small and has low clearance so make sure you vehicle will clear prior to purchasing. Also, if getting a spot in the garage you will need to have some amazing parking skills especially if it’s full when you pull in. Getting in your spot will be a challenge. Luckily we had stall 19 which was right in the front and I was able to back in from the street. Parking outside the unit came be a challenge so I do recommend a garage spot but if renting a car get a compact. The child in me really enjoyed using the trash Shute. I know it’s silly but I liked listening to the trash fall from the penthouse down to the dumpster. Overall I would rent this unit again but not with other adults. We like privacy as does the other adults with us. Final note: if I ever hit the Mega Millions I’d would totally offer to but the unit.

Property as beautiful as the pictures. In July we never used the a/c once- the ocean breeze just blows through the condo. Fully equipped kitchen- with condiments (olive oil 
 spices..). Easy walk into (busy/crowded) Waikiki Beach - and an easy walk to Diamond Head. What can beat a full ocean view from the front and sides and the Diamond Head crater from behind?

Nice condo with great views, great location!

We had a wonderful time! The condo was beautiful! I would definitely recommend this property to anyone!!! We used the kitchen quite a bit, and would have preferred to have some additional big pots, and also the pots didn’t have covers. But we made do with what was there! The laundry was located in the garage area, which made it a bit difficult, but it worked out just fine. Only $1.50 per wash and per dry. Mahalo!
