Room was basic but clean. Staff were very apologetic, but we had booked for evening meal and most f the menu as available. They said suppliers had let thff er m down, but with the a number f guests dining and all pre booked, this was not acceptable. They list trade as guests cancelled breakfast and meal the next day.

Car parking was very limited. Hot Water supply to shower intermittent. Rooms were very clean and nicely presented. Bed was incredibly comfy. Floor was very noisy! Staff were lovely and friendly.

Lovely pub and friendly staff room very large though on the front of the pub so we did get some road noise . Car park is very tight to park when pub is busy and entrance to car park is awkward food is excellent but could do with a steak on the menu . Excellent choice of beers and spirits very pleasant stay . We would stay again .

Staff were lovely and helpful just not enough of them. Had to wait around to be checked in/served. Room was cold on arrival but didn’t take long to warm up with a he oil heaters provided. Had to request the hairdryer and clean sheets for the bed settee but staff provided them swiftly. Breakfast was great and worth the long wait. Although we appreciated that the breakfast is made fresh it maybe better to cook off some sausages and bacon and keep in the oven as there is a small timeframe to eat breakfast on a Sunday 1.5 hours so the majority were dining at the same time but a lot were frustrated by the wait. Again one member of staff front of house running around doing everything.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Can highly recommend the food in the pub. Small plates were exceptional. Breakfast was great quality and not rushed. Would highly recommend.

We arrived to check in but the one bar staff member was chatting to a customer. Tho she was aware of us, and she wasn't serving the customer who seemed to be a friend, we waited several minutes while she continued to chat.

We loved our stay at the Moon Inn. We had a really friendly welcome and our room was enormous. We had a lovely meal there in the evening and slept well in the super comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were delightful. We will definitely be returning when next in the area.

Clean, comfy, cosy. Fantastic.

This place is a little bit tucked away but definitely worth it. The room was great, the bed was really comfy, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. My only slight complaint would be that the temperature of the shower was a bit unpredictable but not too badly. A friend came to meet me for dinner and commented on how good the food was and how nice the place was. If you've got a car, it's really convenient for Bakewell, Chatsworth and a bunch of hikes in the Peaks.

This was perfectly adequate in terms of the accommodation, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We do feel, however, that the pub is rather tired and ‘run down’, and would benefit from some investment. The towels were small and thin, the pillows were worn, and the en suite is in need of a few minor repairs. Food was quite good (better on our second night, which was a Saturday). Access to the bedrooms is round the back of the pub, via a fairly steep set of outside stairs - however, staff did help us to carry our luggage in when requested (we are in our late seventies). Overall, we felt it was over-priced in comparison to other similar country pubs in which we stayed on our trip.
