It was tired, outdoors unkept, garbage overflowing all around, layout, parking situation, check in process, and room location to the parking lot were not accommodating to guests. Had we had more luggage than just one nights worth, I would have asked to change rooms. The pool was closed unknowing to us which really disappointed my kiddo and there was no empathy from the staff or offer to reduce the already outrageous rate, or do something to make up for the lack of pool. For what they were charging for this very tired location I would have expected some sort of positive, but we did not. Neighbors were loud due to thin walls. Could not open the windows to get fresh air and the a/c unit was not efficient. It was 85 degrees. There was 1 old coke machine that wasn’t even full. We will not be back.

Accommodating adding an extra night. Perfect location for the walkable downtown of Houghton. Nice view from the room on the 6th floor.

This is a great location within walking distance to dining and shopping in downtown Houghton. But the room with 2 queen beds was quite cramped. The bathroom reminded me of a motor home.

Will never stay here again

My stay was $390 for one night. I called to ask if I could get an extra blanket and they said “if they had one.” No one ever showed up. There were stains on the walls, the carpet had trash all over the corners and the bathroom was disgusting.

Not very well done.

The rooms were clean and looked nice. The beds were comfortable. The walls are so thin we could hear every word the neighbors said, we could clearly hear people talking in the hall, we were right across from an entrance and got to listen to the outside door slam. There was hardly any water pressure. We went down to breakfast between 8:30 and 9:00 and there was no coffee, no hard boiled eggs and no hot food for more than 15 minutes. The breakfast attendant was working her but off. It was move-in days at MTU, they had to know that and should have been better prepared. If at all possible I probably won't stay here again.
