Parking was easy - check in was seamless. Common area cleanliness wasn’t the best. Floors and carpeting needed attention. King size standard room was small. Bed was shorter than regular king size and commode was extremely low to the ground. Difficult for older people. Breakfast was very good though. Good options and coffee.

The hotel did not honor the Expedía booking. My parents do not speak English, so i made the reservation for them in advance. They arrived late in the evening to Houston to visit my sick aunt. The front desk person, Gemma, kept skipping over them to service other guests instead of fixing the issue. She could not speak Spanish and she was very dismissive to my elderly parents. In total, they waited an hour for her to book a new hotel room because she kept skipping over them.

We had an accessible room because my parents are in their 80’s and need an accessible shower. However, the shower was not safe. When showering the water flowed onto the floor. Besides the shower drain, there is a drain installed in floor but it was ineffective. The water wet a lot of the bathroom floor resulting in a very dangerous situation. We had to place towels on the floor every time we showered. The gracious staff attempted to fix the problem but stated it was more complicated and we would have to change rooms if they were to fix it during our stay. There was no other accessible room available so we opted to stay, use the towels to soak up the run off water, and just be mindful . There were also plumbing issues with the toilet which I suspect was related to the drainage issue. Despite this unfortunate situation, we did appreciate the staff and enjoyed the rest of the hotel.

The room felt very damp and warm when we walked in. For a place like this, I would expect them to include breakfast, especially if they are going to be priced the same as other hotels that add breakfast. Early morning when we wanted some hot water for my son’s formula, we they did not have any available. This is the first hotel where something like that is not available 24/7.

Rooms are poorly designed and very basic. One of the cupboard doors was broken and hanging sideways. No body lotion in the bathroom, also the water pressure in the shower was pretty bad.
