Loved the property

We enjoyed fishing and wading in the river. We cooked outside and ate on the lovely deck. At night the outdoor lights were perfect for us to hang out on the deck. The children had a great time. Would recommend to all families.

Amazing location!

Perfect getaway vacation home for families! The home is beautifully furnished and provides plenty of space for a large group - both inside and outside on the gorgeous deck! Had a few glitches (mainly just bad luck) and found the host (or hosts) to be a bit slow in responding to questions or issues! All in all, a great trip and would definitely recommend!

Respite on the Arkansas

Such a LOVEly view of the world in the beautiful peaks of Howard. The Mediterranean vibes of this classic estate allowed stories to unfold. The privacy within this living space was accentuated by the expansive porch and the river front. Each amenity added a comfort of living in luxury. The intricate woodwork design unified this cool property! Gratefully—

Terrible start, ok end, no hottub as advertised on the

Unfortunately we arrived that evening to uncleaned home. I called the host and did not receive a call back, until noon the next day. That night we were on our own. We stripped the beds, washed all the sheets and towels, vacuumed and spot cleaned the restrooms, ourselves. the house cleaner did come the following day for all the rest. There was NO hot tub, as stated in the listing. It is “tired” property, my guess run by a management co.... the heat is very uneven from room to room. The pluses were; Beds were comfortable, spaces large were large with plenty of room, and the restroom supplies were generous. In the end they did compensate us some. if the Hot tub mentioned was there it would have made the stay much more tolerable.

Adequate But Not Spectacular

The Good: - 3 car garage - Comfortable beds - Scenic view - Proximity to Salida/Monarch The Bad: - Low water pressure - Tempermental hot water - Condition of the exterior of the house Pictures of the house online are obviously outdated. When we drive up to the property, we honestly all thought it was an abandoned house. Metal fence/gate broken and falling over, paint peeling off the house, broken window in the garage, metal railing around perimeter of the back deck looks dangerously unstable, metal staircase down to gazebo/lawn seriously dangerous in cold weather. Was relieved that the interior was more as represented online. Somewhat dated, but clean. Heat works fine. Beds were comfortable. Internet signal was strong. Water pressure was low but thats probably nothing they can control. Water was sometimes hot but other times just warm regardless of what order you took showers. Could have been better stocked for those that want to cook. No dish cloths, one dishwasher pod, no papertowels and only cursory toilet paper. Had to figure out that the water taps to the washer had been turned off before we could do the laundry. Property was adequate but would not stay again.

Best Riverside deal in Colorado.

This property is perfect for people wanting to stay ON THE WATER and have easy access to Salida. There is even a breakfast diner two minutes away in Howard! The views off each side of the house are absolutely incredible. The river is not only fishable from the property’s private beach, we caught trout right right away on my birthday! The check in and out was easy and the house is secluded from neighbors but not far from civilization. Perfect for a unforgettable vacation!

FibArk weekend with friends

We had 3 families together for the FibArk weekend in mid June. This property was great and comfortably fit everyone! Celica was very easy to communicate with and we got in no problem. We spent most days in and around Salida to watch FibArk festivities downtown as well as doing some biking and rafting ourselves. This home was great to come back to at the end of the day. We cooked breakfasts and dinner together too. We used the grill one night and all watched the Avs playoff game. Would definitely recommend! Clean and comfortable home in quiet area.

Beautiful views and very nice property

This was an excellent location and we enjoyed our stay very much. Our group were five adults in the same family here for a fishing/guys weekend. We hung out on the deck at the end of each day and enjoyed the scenery and company. Bring bug spray during mosquito season. The only concern we had was the low water pressure in the bathrooms made it difficult to take quick and thorough showers as the spray was very light. Especially for the price we paid, this should not have had this issue. If this was fixed, it would have rated 5 stars. The property was clean and the setting superb. Overall, it was just what we needed for the long weekend. Thank you.

Too many issues to relax

This house is in a beautiful location on the Arkansas river with lots of room for friends and family and a foos ball table in the garage that was a favorite. It had promise to be the base for a carefree getaway. Unfortunately, numerous issues left us feeling like we were dealing with the house as much as relaxing. Do not book here if you want or need reliable wifi; we had several teens coming off a camping trip who were disappointed when the wifi did not work. The microwave didn’t work and one of our party kept getting locked in her bedroom (when she just closed but didn’t lock the door) and had to pound on the door every morning to be let out of her room. Finally, though this was no fault of the host, both the power and water went off for our last night, so we had to pack in headlamps. The host was responsive to our initial wifi issues but slow or unresponsive to a pre-trip question and other issues.

Beautiful View with Great Accomodations

Lovely ranch style home with amazing views of the Colorado mnts. It snowed and was chilly while we were there so couldn't really enjoy the massive deck. But we sure enjoyed views of the mnts and the Ark river. Great set up and layout for our family. Perfect getaway during these times. Enough space for teens and kids too. Kitchen set up with everything you need from plates to pots and pans. Rustic and beautiful. Close to Salida to pick up essentials. We had a great time and enjoyed this home. Thank you for a wonderful much needed escape.

Highway Proximity

The picture through the railing was deceiving. Highway 50 is very close and noise from that out did the river. We did see deer and turkeys across the highway. Did not mind finishing up the towels or emptying the dishwasher when we got there at all. House was amazing.
