Clean rooms with plenty of space. Very noisy being right next to motorway and early morning fire alarm wake up call meant didn’t get a great nights sleep. Grab and go breakfast a bit random and not expecting so that was a let down.

We stayed for 1 night. Located next to a pub / restaurant and surrounded country area. It makes for a lovely stay. Nice staff and very comfy beds.

Large, spotlessly clean room

Stayed 3 nights at Fortune Huddersfield Hotel. Friendly welcome at check in and room was large and spotlessly clean. Facilities in room were great with a fan already in the room which was very welcome as room was very warm. Didn’t hear any noise from motorway but sound proofing within the hotel could be better as it did sound like a herd of elephants above us the first night! Breakfast although limited choice, was tasty and good value for money and we were happy to take back to room to eat. Overall we had a great stay at Fortune Huddersfield Hotel, very good value for money with friendly staff.

A lot of money for what you get….

When booking there was no mention of rooms not being made up and that you had to put a card outside requesting your room to be cleaned and the bed made. I would add though that the staff were brilliant

Don't expect peace and quiet

After spending 3 nights at a place that didn't have air conditioning, I travelled to another hotel, hoping for some respite from the heat, for a further 7 nights. Imagine my disappointment when I checked in to find the same style of hotel under a different name! Added to that the M62 is on one side and there is a pub on the other so it was extremely noisy outside whatever time of the day or night. The room itself was looking very tired with stained carpet and chipped paint. The window opened but locked at around 10cm, which isn't great. No chance of any air circulation. Although a fan was provided, it wasn't helpful as it just blew hot air around. Breakfast is a 'Grab and go', which consisted of a sausage, egg or bacon roll, pastries and yogurt. No fruit or cereals. On the plus side the staff were helpful and friendly and it wasn't their fault the weather was so hot!

Convenient good value hotel. Spacious clean room in good condition with large comfy bed. Although very close to M62 the double and secondary glazing did a great job to keep the traffic noise out. The included breakfast was grab and go style but the bacon sandwich was hot and well-filled, good choice of other items. We used for a music event in Halifax, and will very probably use next time!
