Journeys End brings you into your own private cove side paradise. Privacy surrounds you on every side of this magnificent Tudor waterfront property. Our home offers the perfect place for the luxury lake experience. You won't be looking at other homes but instead over two acres of pristine woods and an expansive 300 foot waterfront area with a huge gentle sloping lawn and gorgeous views of the lake from both the deck and dock area. You will feel like you have your own private park. The swimming area is ideal because it is protected from boat traffic and you can float to your hearts desire without floating away. To insure your safety we have added a dock lifeguard shock warning system to our swim area. Our water front has a great floating dock, stationary dock and a sandy beach area. When you are ready to put your feet up you can sit in the huge hot tub, or choose one of 3 decks or the lakeside dock area. Enjoy exploring the lake as you cruise the shoreline in our four complimentary kayaks or two paddle boards. At night enjoy our complimentary firewood and the lakeside fire pit area to roast your marshmallows. Every detail has been taken care of, and the quality of the home, appliances, and furnishings are unmatched. The expansive kitchen is fully equipped and your family can enjoy meals together around the large oak table with seating for ten. Granite countertops and high end large and small appliances are available for you to use. Watch movies together in the expansive great room with cathedral ceilings which can seat ten plus people. Children will enjoy the game room which can be found downstairs next to the children's bedroom. They can enjoy Playstation 3, bring their own gaming system or watch DVD's. Battle it out as you enjoy playing a family tournament on the air hockey, pool, ping pong or foosball tables. You will find high speed internet and Wi-Fi throughout the home. This home offers over 3,500 sq. feet of living space with 5 large bedrooms including a huge master suite and attached bedroom. There are 3 bathrooms, one on every floor and a half bath off the deck. Located right off the main channel of Craddock's Creek you are in a protected cove, but only a cove away from the most beautiful part of Smith Mountain Lake. We have a whole house generator to insure you are uninterrupted during your stay. The location is ideal and only a short drive to all the restaurants, boutiques, and grocery stores. There is plenty of parking for as many vehicles as you wish and plenty of room for your boat trailer. So be the first to let your journeys end be here in our cove side paradise.

We had such a lovely weekend here! It was perfect for our two families. The home offered so much more than we could have imagined. There was an entire rack of life jackets all different sizes, from toddler to adult (we brought our own), but such a nice touch! The dock is absolutely incredible. We enjoyed countless hours fishing, talking and lounging. My husband said he would have slept out there if it had been a touch warmer outside LOL! The check in & out process was wonderful. Nancy called to let us know the an HvAC company might still be there at our check in (no biggie!) but she wanted to make sure we were aware and not thrown off on arrival. She also allowed us to stay longer on Sunday since it was off season, which was perfect so the kids didn’t have to rush finding their Easter Baskets! 10/10 recommend and we will 100% be back again soon!

Wonderful family getaway

Our family, with 3 generations, had a wonderful time together at this home. It is exceptionally well stocked with sand and water toys, life vests, 3 refrigerators, kitchen appliances, etc. It's in a beautiful and quiet cove, just a short trip from the dam and other nice areas of the lake. The kids could easily play on the beach or in the water, and we spent many hours in the near by coves tubing and doing other water sports. This was a great house for our trip.

We had a great time staying here. The house was clean, the property was well maintained and there was plenty of room for everyone. Plenty of parking as well. The dock was awesome and had plenty of space and furniture for everyone to sit and hang out. We will definitely be going back!

So many great things! We got a pontoon boat w/ tube and four jet skis. Everyone had an absolute blast! one evening we made smores and listened to Adam play a guitar and sing songs while the ten of us sat around the fire near the dock. Not a day of rain except when we arrived. Everything was perfect !

Wonderful stay on the lake!

We went for a quiet girls trip and could not have found a better place to stay! The property was clean and comfortable and had everything we need and more. The views of the lake were stunning and we were even able to get out on the property’s kayaks and paddle boards in November. The kitchen was a great size and well stocked. All of us hope to return in the future!

We had a wonderful stay at your home and absolutely loved it! Everything was beautiful the kids LOVED the toys and asked if we could please stay another day. Great house for a family vacation!

We stayed here with two other families--6 adults and 5 kids ages 2-6. We utilized every aspect of this great house: great big kitchen and eating area, grill and huge deck with a great view; the young kids loved the hot tub in the AM; fire pit was a great bonus; everyone loved time on the dock and in the water in the quiet cove. Would absolutely rent this house again!

Great lakehouse getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Journey's End. Beautiful home, beautiful backyard to the lake, beautiful view of the lake. Love the use of the kayaks and the dock area was wonderful to sit and read a book or to play or watch the sunset. The owners had smore supplies for us to use around the fire pit area also! Lots of appliances and kitchen tools etc. Loved it here!!

Quiet Cove!

Wonderful week with family - very quiet cove with clear water for swimming. Kitchen had everything we needed and second fridge in the garage came in handy. Loved being able to have all of us fit at the dining table for dinner! Enjoyed hanging out on the dock and making 'smores by the fire pit.

Awesome Stay at Journeys End!

Our first time at Smith Mountain Lake based on some recommendations. Journeys End was a perfect place to stay! On the water in a quiet cove with a great yard. The house has everything a family could want. Plenty of space, games, hot tub, and every kitchen gadget you can think of. Nothing missed here! Nancy and Charles are great hosts! Highly recommend! Don’t miss this one!
