I booked this place because of the breakfast only to find out after booking it that there was no breakfast in the winter. Check in is at the bar and the rooms are up stairs. The room was clean and small. I got a single. The water smells of sulfur. These things happen. There isn’t anything close by so I had dinner in Hvammstangi.

This was a good stop on the ring road when there are not many options in the north. Room was clean, cozy comfortable and adequate. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was very good. The place was a bit rustic, but we enjoyed our stay. The attached restaurant was good and served a simple but nice breakfast. The hot water in the bathroom gave off a sulfur odor due to - I think - geothermal heating. Overall, though, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
