Road Trip Pit Stop

Adorable with comfort and class
Publié le 11 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayRented the cabin for the weekend. The family and I stayed Friday and some girlfriends and I had a great time Saturday. The space is so well done and offers so much comfort. The fully stocked kitchen, the game room and the hot tub …everything you need for a great weekend. We will definitely be returning to enjoy the Schoolhouse again soon.

Wonderful place to stay for a respite

We love to cook our own when we are on vacation and appreciated a nice kitchen, fully stocked with cookware, accessories, dinnerware, and even bar ware! The game room was amazing and even for us older adults, we had fun playing ping pong, doing jigsaw puzzles, and playing Trivial Pursuit. There was an amazing variety for all ages. Last but not least, we soaked in the hot tub, and even used the outdoor grill as the temps were on our side in the high 50s in February! This was a perfect place for a family retreat.

Sweet 16 Birthday Bash

Sister's trip
Publié le 6 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayMy 5 sisters and I, 60 and over, really enjoyed staying at the cabin, loved the unique decor and the coziness and it was clean. The kitchen was large enough and was well stocked, liked that the water was drinkable. We had planned on going to Pontiac for part of one day but had enough to do there that we didn't want to leave so we didn't! The game room was great, with plenty of games and puzzles that we used and most of us used the hot tub at least once, very relaxing. Had a fire in the firepit, using the supplied wood, and enjoyed laying on the outdoor daybed. Took a walk down to the lake, very pretty, and we spent a lot of time on the patio, hanging out and playing games. The multiple steps inside were challenging but we managed and all in all we enjoyed our stay and would come back again if in the area.

Cute and Cozy.
Publié le 27 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay. Clean home. So charming. So quiet. Comfortable beds. Great lighting and block out curtains. We took advantage of the hot tub and the firepit. 10 minute drive to ISU. Definitely would recommend.

Cozy cottage

We used the fire pit one night and loved the bike riders light parade. The area is quiet but not too far out. We enjoyed the Destihl beer hall. Would definitely stay again.
