Obviously this was an older Holiday Inn and some upgrades and renovations had been made, which we appreciated. Overall, the hotel was clean and the breakfast and lobby areas were nice. We didn’t do breakfast so I can’t comment on the that.
I would say the most dissatisfying part of our stay was that the room doors were not soft close. Unfortunately, many people aren’t considerate and let their doors slam shut every time they enter and leave their rooms. We were awakened many times throughout the early morning hours. One of the culprits of letting the door slam was actually an employee. We asked if the door could be shut a little softer, but he didn’t understand English. He did, however, contact the front desk and they called our room and we were able to explain our frustration.
