Welcome to Station Camp Getaway, our A-frame home on a 58-acre farm in an Appalachian valley in Irvine, Kentucky. Spend your mornings watching the animals graze, your afternoons beside the fishing pond, and your evenings relaxing in the hot tub or gathering around a fire.

There is no TV by design. Instead, enjoy vinyl records, board games, books, valley views, and time together.

Guests have the A-frame home to themselves. We live in a separate, adjacent home and care for the farm and animals while respecting your privacy.

MEET THE FARM ANIMALS

Our farm is home to a bonded pair of Suffolk Punch draft horses, a Highland cow and her calf, and two Thoroughbreds.

Animal encounters are arranged with us and supervised by a host. Depending on availability, guests may have an opportunity to help feed or brush the animals and hear their stories. Please coordinate with us before approaching or feeding them. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

The home accommodates 7 guests across 3 bedrooms and an open loft sleeping area.

✦ Bedroom 2, downstairs: 1 king bed, convertible to 2 twin XL beds with advance notice
✦ Bedroom 3, downstairs: 2 twin XL beds
✦ Open loft outside the main bedroom: 1 twin bed. This is an additional sleeping area, not an enclosed fourth bedroom; it appears as “Office 1” in the listing’s bed details.
✦ 2 full bathrooms: a bathtub on the main floor and a shower upstairs
✦ Bed linens and towels provided

An eighth overnight guest requires approval before booking. Please contact us to discuss sleeping arrangements.

SAUNA, FITNESS & GAMES

✦ Fitness equipment: treadmill, rowing machine, stationary bike, weights, resistance bands, and yoga mats
✦ Mini exercise trampoline for fitness use only, not for play

The sauna and fitness equipment are for adults only. Children may use the game area with adult supervision.

A washer and dryer are available for small loads of guests’ personal clothing. Please do not wash property linens or towels.

OUTDOORS

✦ Private outdoor hot tub for up to 7 guests, with valley and mountain views
✦ Elevated deck with seating and a grill
✦ Hammocks, outdoor seating, a wooden swing, and picnic areas
✦ Two fire pits: one near the house and one beside the fishing pond

✦ Fishing pond with a pedal boat and 2 fishing rods provided
✦ Outdoor games and opportunities to watch birds and wildlife

Fishing is catch-and-release only. Swimming in the pond is not permitted. Children must wear life jackets in the pedal boat and remain under adult supervision near the water.

A host demonstration of the hot tub cover is required before use. Please follow the posted instructions and replace the cover after use.

FOR FAMILIES

A Pack ’n Play, highchair, children’s dishes, books, toys, and a child’s outdoor swing are available.

This is a working farm with an elevated deck, stairs, a pond, creeks, uneven ground, and electric fencing. Children need adult supervision throughout the property. Please respect gates, fences, and designated private areas.

EXPLORING THE REGION

For outings beyond the farm, consider Berea’s arts and crafts, the Berea Pinnacles, Anglin Falls, or a day trip to Red River Gorge, Nada Tunnel, Natural Bridge State Resort Park, or Lexington.

Driving times vary by destination and route. Please check directions from the property when planning your day.

YOUR HOSTS

We are Nurys and Randall, your English- and Spanish-speaking hosts, with roots in Panama and Chile. We love sharing the valley, our animals, and the quieter rhythm of farm life.

Our separate home is next door, so you may see us tending to the animals or maintaining the grounds. We are happy to help with questions and coordinate farm encounters while giving you space to enjoy your stay.

TWO-WAY RADIOS

Two-way radios are provided as a backup way to reach your hosts when cell service, internet, or Wi-Fi is unreliable, including when you need urgent assistance. Please keep them charged and follow the instructions provided. Reception depends on distance and terrain, and an immediate response is not guaranteed. For emergencies, call 911 whenever phone service is available. Please return the radios to their charging stations after use.

✦ Do not use the hot tub alone or under the influence of alcohol
✦ Follow posted instructions for the hot tub, sauna, fitness equipment, and fire pits
✦ Outdoor conditions may include mud, ice, uneven terrain, and seasonal fire restrictions
