What a great place.
Our family parked up here for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and the pool / grounds are great.
It's only a short drive to everything you need like groceries / pharmacy etc.
We will definitely come back!
Thanks Jen
We stayed in this lovely home in Issac for over a week, using it as our base to explore the Dordogne. Jennifer was a fantastic host, making us feel welcome and ready to enjoy her property. It was well appointed, the pool was warm and the setting was lovely. Issac is a quieter part of the area, but it is highly convenient with Mussidan a short 12 minute drive away. Mussidan has a few great boulangeries and an Intermarche amongst some other amenities.
The home is a lovely conversion and renovation with much history. The AC in the bedrooms work very well and the main floor stayed cool amongst 90+ degree heat given the thick stone walls.
Bergerac and Perigueux are lovely towns that are close. We also took the dozens of winding roads to Sarlat le Caneda, and the rest of the beautiful Dordogne villages and sites. We found our Waze app worked perfectly navigating the winding routes as much of your touring in the Dordogne will not be on A motorways.
Overall a fantastic rural retreat we would recommend.
A beautiful, spacious property with a wonderful view and peaceful surroundings.
We loved the view from the pool and the outdoor dining area. Many hours were spent there, sitting, chatting and relaxing. Trips to Bordeaux, local night markets and a canoe trip down the river were all highlights.
