A cozy condo just a short walk from driftwood beach. Overall, had a great stay, the bathroom and bedroom were larger than expected and the balcony was nice.
First night we didnât have power for several hours as there was a huge storm that knocked out half the island but we know that was no fault of the owner. The place was super nice and relaxing. The pool was amazing and the staff around the villas were super friendly.
The old carpet on the stairs is a terrible first impression. Too many things didnât work. No stove just a hot plate. The place looked nothing like the pictures on the web site! The bedroom and bathroom were fine. If you have trouble with stairs this is not your place. We never did fine way to the beach! Wilda McWilliams Too small for comfort!
The condo was very clean. Stairwell carpet needs replacement. It doesnât give the condo a good impression. Location was very good. And we enjoyed the covered area overlooking the beach. The condo itself was very nice especially the bathroom which was updated. Jekyll island is beautiful
It was a long 14 drive to our place to find out it had not yet been cleaned after 4PM. We needed to leave to allow the maid to clean the place and change the linens. The kitchen setup was strange that it looked like all the appliances were on one circuit and there was a note not to use two at a time or risk blowing a breaker. The place seemed a little smaller than the pictures online. If we were to come down again we would look for another place.
If you are wanting to take sunrise photos at Driftwood Beach this is the perfect place to stay at. Itâs a 5-10 minute easy walk (donât walk the beach all the way down from the pier. Go to the far end of the resort parking lot and follow the sign to a short trail). The room was clean and comfortable. Suited our needs as a couple, but I would not suggest having anyone sleep on the pull out couch. We opened it to try for more lounging space, and it is extremely uncomfortable. Also donât plan on doing extensive cooking. The full size fridge is awesome, but thereâs a hot plate and toaster oven, not full size stove or oven. This was made clear in the listing, I just think itâs helpful to point out for planning. We had an issue with the Roku which never got fixed, but luckily there was DirecTv as a backup.
The onsite restaurant was pretty good. Itâs only open at night, 5 days a week. But everything on the island is so close, itâs not a problem to drive to get meals. Our favorite restaurants were Eighty Ocean on island and Indigo Coastal Shanty in Brunswick was AMAZING!
Overall we were satisfied with our stay and would stay again.
Great place to get away to the beach. Itâs small but cozy and directly across from the beach. Family friendly, playground outside by patio. Very fun.
Location is great proximity to golf course (and restaurants, market, historic area). Villa was great for our purposes. Bed was comfortable, shower had good pressure and hot water. Kitchenette is well equipped.
The location is great and we found the apartment to be cozy and generally well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had coffee pods and a few dishes, which we appreciated. It's decorated well, gets fairly good light, and the view was gorgeous! Laundry on site is great too, although it is a bit far from the unit.
We did notice small things like wrappers, plastic letters, etc. under the couch and by the dishwasher, so the cleaner could maybe do a more thorough job. The dishwasher itself was also not well mounted in place, so that the force of opening/closing the dishwasher door would sometimes move the whole thing. Not a huge deal, but brings down the overall feel of the place when you have those little quirks to navigate. Lastly, I would suggest switching out the faux fur rug for a real bath mat-- the fur is cute, but not practical!
Overall, I would recommend for someone looking for an affordable, nice place to stay.
I enjoyed my stay in this apartment minutes away from Driftwood Beach. It was exactly as advertised.
The internet worked well for my work-remote week.
I also enjoyed the short walk to Horton's Pond and the bike rental from the front desk.
The owner is very responsive and seemed to want to make my stay special.
The communication with the property manager was good Our issue was the sofa in the photo wasnât what was in the unit.In the photo was a split sofa that you can put together to make one bed or two.It was replaced w/a sofa bed that was a standard sofa bed.I messaged the pm and he said that it had to be replaced and he apologized. Offered us $100 for our trouble or we could check out the next morning for a refund of what the received for the rental. We stayed in the unit and our daughter went to stay w/ her grandparents that were in another unit in the same complex. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable (more than usual). My son ended up sleeping on the sofa part w/o pulling it out. With the bed pulled out, there is very little room to scoot by to get to the coffee maker.
The listing did say that it has a stove and under says two burner hot plate. I took that to mean both. It has a toaster oven and a hot plate. No stove/oven. This may be a VRBO issue with how things could be marked. I should have looked at the photos better.
There were only 3 towels for the bathroom. The ad also read that it has beach towels, there werenât any that we saw. I even looked in the bucket of blankets in the closet. We ended up buying beach towels at the store.
Our pool key didnât work and messaged PM and it was very quickly resolved. Over all, it was a nice, clean, safe place to stay. It just wasnât a good fit for my family. One week from check out and I havenât received the $100 inconvenience fee.
It was clean and as described. The property manager was very accessible. When the Wi-Fi went out due a storm, it was promptly fixed. The beach was a close walk. We were glad that we could rent bikes at the facility.
Our family enjoyed our stay! We were passing through and stayed for a few days. Great place to stay and we wish we couldâve stayed longer. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Why drive when you can walk to Driftwood Beach and Horton Pond every day! We loved this beautiful little apartment. The bed was comfy and clean. Plenty of space in the bathroom. The kitchenette had everything we needed and very clean. I loved having my coffee on the back porch enjoying the view! It's a peaceful area. The owners were quick to respond with my questions before arrival. We'll stay here again if it's available!
Nice condo. Clean, well furnished. Good location near the ocean (to get to the beach, you have a short walk north to Driftwood beach). The condo is fine for 2 people. Jekyll Island is so nice - highly recommend - we did the bike trip around the perimeter of the island - very bike-friendly.
Check in with convenient keyless entry was great and much better than having to check in at the front desk not to mention the feeling of the added security with the keyless entry. This was a nice little condo steps from the beach. The pool was very nice and has a baby pool as well, pool area has a snack, soda and mixed drink hut. The walks on the beach are very nice and peaceful here. The host I could tell would like the guess to be very pleased and happy with the stay and is willing to accommodate the usual basic supplys, just let him know of these things while you're there if needed. Also, has a pretty wide selection of TV apps such as Netflix, prime, hula ect...and Roku. Amorita E
