The front desk staff person was friendly. The room was clean and very dated. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. It made a loud noise when you sat down on it. There are not many hotel options in John Day. I might try one of the other ones.
Room worked for a quick overnight. Clean enough but very dated and somewhat noisy.
No breakfast or morning coffee in the lobby. Close dnough to places to eat.
I picked this property because it said updated, I loved the easy chairs and having a comfortable place to sit. Someone updated the tile backsplashes, the sink and countertops were not. The caulking in the shower looks like a 1st grader did it, shower doors and tiny toilet made it impossible for a larger person to function and the exhaust fan spins but didnt evacuate the smell at all. Beds were hard.
This property is a call back to the 90âs. With its fun color on the outside to everything on the inside it screams 90âs. Now thatâs not a bad thing, the tv is new, the bed is comfortable, the water pressure is outstanding and the heat of the water is top notch. Very comfortable stay for a decent price.
I canât believe that this was the best place in town. Someone bumped up the ratings, donât be duped. Bathroom was terrible, I turned on the shower and brown water came out. There was a nail in the floor. Two old recliners that were dirty and looked as if they found them on the street. Towels were even old and worn. If you can continue driving, do it!
There were not many options for motels in the town of John Day, OR. This motel met our needs for a place to sleep on a long trip. The room was very dated but met our needs.
