The staff at the reception counter was friendly, room was big, spacious and generally clean. The Borneo Oasis located in the building had v good massage and head spa treatments too! The downsides were that: 1) there was a cockroach in the room, 2) the pillows were a little too soft, 3) the bathroom lights were a little dim and 4) the hot water dispenser didn’t seem to be working despite following the instructions pasted.

For $250 SGD per night, I expected a much better experience. The hotel feels poorly maintained — the AC didn’t cool even when set to 16°C, the DND/cleaning button didn’t work, and the bathroom had visible chips and wear. The floor also wasn’t properly cleaned, which made the room uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t stay here again.

There are black mound growing on the roller blinds in the toilet...the veggie placed on the salad counter during breakfast were already rotting but no one bother to remove them and there is not much food left qhen we reached the area ard 8.30am on Sat morning.

My experience at Trove was a pleasant one. The main touchpoints were done well. Could be better if there was a little background music in the lobby. No complaints and enjoyed my stay there! Everything is good but the hotel need to improve on their breakfast. Limited variety and food are not tasty. Housekeeping can be forgetful and forget to include floor mat and hand towels. The hotel should had inform in advance to the guest that the swimming pool is not available. We only know that the swimming pool is under renovation upon check in.
