Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through June. I liked that they gave us an early check in if we arrived early, unfortunately we did not get to use it. The room being older was recently upgraded with new bath fixtures and tile. The linens and bed were nice and very comfortable. The lock on the door seemed weak so we double checked door lock every time we left. The motion sensor switch for bathroom kept coming on in the middle of the night and went off while taking showers. Overall our stay was comfortable.

One of the best in June Lake

Darla at the front desk was amazing - so helpful! The kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room were so clean. The beds were comfortable. The location is great. You can walk to everything. Returning customers get a 10% discount if you book through the Villager! I think it is one of the best in June Lake.

Great spot @ June Lake, easy in & out. Right in the little downtown and a quick walk to the lake. We had the little stand alone studio unit with a nice view. Enjoyed pizza from the local place down the block.

Location was great. Walking distance to the marina, coffee, store, ice cream, and dining options. Our view from the room was excellent. Felt very private despite being in the heart of town.

Restaurants and Marina is walkable. Nicole was really nice and helped to have our AC and outlets work in our room. Darla is also very accommodating when I called to let them know we will be checking-in a little bit late.

The June Villager was a reasonable property to stay in though it had a very 50’s wood cabin old style that lacked some modern conveniences. The biggest issue was that there was only one power outlet in the cabin that had a grounding pin and was located in the kitchen. This made it hard to charge devices off my power bank which came with a grounding pin. All rooms had 2 pin power outlets and had not been upgraded to current standards. Furniture and fixtures were naturally old and from the 60’s and 70’s but worked though it made me feel like I was at my grandmothers house from the 80’s. AC was a portable unit in the living room and was not strong enough to cool the cabin. I had to run an extra fan to help keep cool and tossed and turned at night as a result of the heat. Front desk staff was very friendly.

Last Minute Escape

I’ve stayed here multiple times over the past few decades…Haha…I’ve seen this hotel change ownership multiple times, each time the upgrades get better…the room was clean, beds were very comfortable, nice new ac unit, bathrooms are now big enough to actually turn around in, ample parking, close to restaurants, and of course the staff is pretty amazing. Well done…I’ll be back!
