This luxurious villa is located within the 38 family-friendly acres of the Honua Kai Resort and Spa, designed with relaxation and memory-making in mind, offering guests an unmatched resort experience while proving residential living at its finest. This villa boasts over 2000 sq. ft. of contemporary interior living space with expansive western windows that open up to a wide lanai, providing your family with plenty of room to enjoy the Maui lifestyle.

Spend your days at your enclave’s semi private pool and hot-tub located amongst the luxurious Hawaiian gardens or take a very short stroll to the world famous Kaanapali beach, or aquatic playgrounds of the Honua Kai resort. Experience world class dining, shopping and golf within minutes leaving your villa by visiting Whaler’s village and the Kaanapali and Kapalua golf courses.

This top floor villa will provide you with the privacy to relax in your lanai while enjoying the views of your garden enclave. The residence is fully furnished with everything you need for a luxurious Maui vacation and a gourmet kitchen to prepare your favorite family meals. The Lanai is equipped with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ and plenty of lounging and dining space for the entire family. The residence also includes a private garage plus additional parking in the driveway and an ensuite full size washer and dryer.

Resort amenities include a network of swimming pools, waterfalls and children shallow pool, 24 hour fitness facility and front desk, Duke’s beach house restaurant, and Whaler’s general store.

TAX
The State of Hawaii mandates a total tax of 17.962%. Excise tax is 4.172% and Transient Tax is 13.25% to be paid on all transient accommodations. Taxes are identified on the reservation confirmation (Subject to change). (The higher rate of 17.962% applies to all departures starting 1/1/2024 regardless of when the property was booked.

Taxes are paid to the state of Hawaii and County of Maui based on the guest’s dates of stay. Any changes to the current tax rate will be charged or refunded to the guests depending on the increase or decrease.


OCCUPANCY:
Additional Guests of any age (infants and toddlers included) are strictly prohibited without prior approval. If approved, a fee of $100+tax per day will be added to the reservation for each additional guest.
One infant is allowed without additional fees.

CANCELLATION:
Cancellation outside a 60-day period prior to arrival is subject to a 10% (of total) cancellation fee. Any cancellations made within the 60-day period may result in forfeiture of all monies paid. Please review the listing Terms and Conditions for more information. We highly recommend that all guests purchase a travel insurance policy. Cancelation policy is strictly enforced. All credit cards fees will be deducted before a refund is issued.

Honua Kai Villa 5 Stars Highly Recommended

My family of 4 and one of our adult kid’s friends stayed at this wonderful condo villa on the Honua Kai Resort property. The villa is spacious, clean, has modern appliances, and is stocked with everything needed for cooking. There is a separate garage that had boogie boards, beach chairs, a cooler, wagon, and kids toys. The only thing we would’ve liked is a beach umbrella, but we got one for free with snorkel rental at the Snorkel Store.The Luana villas are not beachfront, but they are quieter and have more private pools and hot tubs that are separate from the fairly chaotic resort pools in front of the main Honua Kai buildings. I would only recommend the Luana villas at Honua Kai and not the main buildings.The villa is in a very good location on the property. It is a short walk from the north tower, which has the whaler’s cove food market and is near to a neighboring lot that hosts food trucks (but far enough away that you don’t see or hear it).There is also a full grocery store within a short walk.Like a previous reviewer, we were told that central air was not working in the bedrooms and portable units would be provided, but we addressed our concerns with the property manager and the portable air conditioners worked well. We did not have access to the bedroom lenais due to ventingf AC, but the main lanai with a grill, dining table, and seating area facing the pool was accessible. I met the property manager on the day we arrived and she is very kind and helpful.

Air conditioning was broken long before our arrival

We were notified that air conditioning in the unit was broken only when we were in the airplane en route to the property. We later learned that this was not a recent development and that parts were on back order long before we were notified. Portable a/c units were brought in but weren’t effective. A technicality in the contract says because of the remote location, management isn’t response for mechanical failure. When we requested a credit to reflect the fact that we were living in a sauna, we were refused. We requested a late checkout. After complaining, they agreed but mentioned that this would cost them one day of rental income. THIS PROVES THAT THEY ONCE AGAIN INTENDED TO RENT THE UNIT KNOWING ThE A/C WAS BROKEN. DO YOU THINK THEY INTEND TO NOTIFY THE NEXT RENTERS OF THE BROKEN A/C OR PULL THE SAME STUNT ON THE NEXT RENTERS, UTILIZING THE SAME FINE PRINT TECHNICALITY THAT WAS USED ON US?

Loved It!

We were a family of 6 (3 college aged and 1 HS). Beautiful place! We loved having the pool right outside the door and the beach just a short walk away. It’s right across the street from a grocery store which was super convenient. Would definitely be on our list if we come back to Maui!

Condo Oasis

This listing is such a great stay and worth the price. Everything is new and updated and there are so many options - the beach, the pool or all the other pools! We want to stay again! Two things that would be nice to know ahead of time; 1. The condo is up a flight of stairs and there is no elevator, so elder guests may have issues accessing the Unit. And 2. The condo pool is saltwater, which is something my kids had to get used to.
