Perfect winter getaway

What a beautiful location. We've stayed at Kahana Reef previously and the top floor condo offered unsurpassed views (whales breaching, boats and a submarine). This area and complex is very quiet and the only sounds are the soothing waves rolling in. The unit was spotless and included everything one would need. We appreciated the vacuum to keep tidy for an extended stay. The detailed list of restaurants and activities provided were extremely helpful. Thank you Mark & Annette for impeccable communication throughout the process and we're already looking at dates for next time!

Wonderful condo!

Everything about this condo was perfect. The location is beautiful and close to restaurants, with grocery stores just a short drive away. The owners have provided everything you need for your comfort and the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cooking needs. The bed is comfy and it's fairly quiet (the ocean did get a little loud at times but that's why you're there!). We would definitely stay at Annie's Surf Shack again.

Great location! Great views! Very clean!

Great place to end our Maui vacation after being at a large resort for a few days. Although its kind of pain waiting on check in day, the condo was VERY clean and you can tell the owners really care about your stay. Comes with everything you need to enjoy beach time. Great bathroom towels (sometimes rentals cheap out on towels!) Am still missing my morning coffee with that amazing view every morning.

Had a great time here in unit #412. Some of the best views on the island, and whales everywhere which we watched for hours from our lanai. There is a pair of binoculars here to make the viewing even better.The bed was comfortable which is a big deal for us. If you rent a car, be sure to do it months before you come.. Luckily we did, but I heard stories of people paying 3 to 4 times what we did for a 10 day rental. We cruised around most of this beautiful island but also had some much needed downtime at our condo. Owner and prop mgmt were easily contacted and immediately resolved one small problem we had. Will definitely stay at "Annie's Surf Shack" again! Mahalo❀

Great location and views!!

Annie's Surf Shack is a fantastic location and the best views on West Maui. The owners were very responsive and provided great guidance and recommendations for our first visit to Maui. The condo was clean and comfortable. The lanai views are truly breathtaking. We saw dozens of whales, several sea turtles, and an octopus while snorkling off the public beach steps from the condo. We have begun discussing our next trip to Maui, and will no doubt be staying at Annie's Surf Shack! The 4 star review on check-in was due to the electronic code on the door not working, but it all worked out with a relatively minimal delay.

Fantastic!

The Welpman’s and their property are absolutely fantastic. Great view of Molokai and Lanai. I spoke with Mark Welpman,the owner, a few times during our stay on small items that ocurred. He took care of them immediately and even had a friend of his come over on one of the items. We have never met them, but they treated us like family. It can’t get better than that! As Advertised....awesome!

Just finished a 9 day stay. The view and the location was fantastic. The condition of the furnishings, decorations and supplies were all great. Mark was very responsive and helpful as to keeping us informed and was a perfect host to their rental unit. The building is from the late 70’s but that’s the charm of the older building rentals as the tenants are mostly owners and very friendly. This unit, 412, was modernized nicely. We attended a building social event with music and pot luck food. My wife along with another learned dancer even did a couple Hawaiian dances for those attending, (she’s a lifelong enthusiast). The view from the condo affords whale watching like I’ve never seen. 4 floors up gives an amazing view. We fully recommend you stay here and try it. ...Only slightly negative comment is the shared BBQs ran out of fuel twice while there and both times were slightly later in the evening so we weren’t prepared for that. Moral of the story...cook earlier. In summary, the time spent there will be remembered as fantastic and we will talk about the view from the lanai to anyone who will listen.

Amazing views from the lanai. Very clean and comfortable condo.

Obviously the best part is the view from the lanai, but the condo was very clean, super comfortable to be in and a great deal for the price. Mark was very quick to respond and an excellent host. The location is perfect. Very quiet property, close to everything on the entire west side and an overall real gem. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone!

You'll want to stay here.

The property was very well taken care of, inside and out, and the view from the balcony was simply amazing. The instructions the owners left were so helpful, that was really appreciated. I would stay there again, but perhaps with just the two of us - we had our two teenagers with us and the space got a bit cramped. I also wish there were basic condiments for the otherwise well stocked kitchen, and a broom for a quick sweep. We used the vacuum but a broom for a daily sweep would have been great. Also, a drying rack for the towels; we were draping them over outdoor chairs and the shower doors, as there is a ban from draping them over the balcony. Otherwise, it was a wonderful condo with a great location, and I recommend it highly - the view, the location, and the well kept condo made our vacation even more special!

Great Maui Getaway

Wonderful and peaceful location. Walking distance to beach. Had nice time with kids. Flowers were in full bloom during our stay in April. I would recommend the place for small families. Kitchen was fully equipped.

Maui Wowee!!

This condo could not have been more perfect for our stay in Maui! There is nothing better than sitting on a lanai on a picture perfect day sipping the world's best coffee (Kona, of course!) watching the whales breach in the waters below us with the mountains of distant islands in the background! Mark was just wonderful to deal with and the accommodations were exactly as we saw pictured on the website. Highly recommend !
