Kailuana Beachfront Estate - Fully-remodeled Kailua home sits on nearly an acre of prime Kailua beachfront.
The two homes sleep 8-12 guests in a "main" house and detached guest cottage. This enchanting Kailua Estate is located in the premier part of the bay where the sand is at its widest and the turquoise-blue waters are most inviting. An expansive ocean front lawn provides ample privacy and is ideal for relaxing and recreation where the worries of the world are left behind. Following recent renovations, the home contains just the right blend of modern comforts in its updated kitchen and baths, with elements of charm carefully preserved from a richly felt past.

The main home offers 3 bedrooms and 2 baths overlooking the large grass lawn with the beach and ocean beyond. Two sun-decks offer space for casual dining and/or informal gatherings overlooking the ocean. The two bedroom one bath guest cottage sits adjacent to the main house, with private entrance, living area and a modernized kitchen of its own.
Fully air-conditioned, with modernized amenities, both homes are comfortable year round and ideal for extended family stays.

Just amazing! The privacy, the amenities, the beach access, all of it. This property is the One. Do yourself a favor and rent it. The pictures look good but dont do it justice. The yard is huge and private. The cottage is beautiful and allows for a separate home for a family/teens/etc. the gift basket ipon arrival was so thoughtful.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in a lot of beach houses on Oahu on the North Shore and in Waimanalo and Kailua. This one was the best by far. The beach is one of the best we have experienced anywhere in the world with perfect sand, warm waters and clean waves to body surf. The location of the house is also perfect -- five minute drive to downtown Kailua and on a quieter stretch of beach a five minute walk from Kailua Beach Park. What distinguishes this place from other great houses we have stayed at, however, is the sprawling back yard that fronts the beach. It is even bigger and prettier than the pictures show. Our entire family (6 adults and two girls 10 and 7 yrs old) spent many hours playing badminton, croquet, frisbee, eating dinner or just hanging out with a cocktail under the shady trees. The only tip I would have is to turn on the AC as high as possible when you arrive to cool the house down. The cool air doesn't ever fully reach the kitchen, but after our first day we were fine leaving all the sliding glass doors and windows open in the mornings and evenings and the living room AC on during the day. We would come back to this property in a second and plan to do so. And Kailua is the perfect place for a relaxing week, still with amenities such as Whole Foods and some good restaurants. Mostly though we just got take out and ate at home because we did not want to miss the beautiful evenings.

Reviewer Comments: We come to Kailua many times a year and this house is our favorite! this time we brought friends and grandkids and everybody agreed the house really made the trip. The guest cottage is awesome!!! Steven always takes care of us and all of his properties are great but this home is truly special with the location and awesome huge and private grassy backyard. We can't wait to go back.

We returned in April with those grown-up sons and their wives, girlfriend and children. When we arrived we all ran down the gorgeous front lawn and onto the spectacular beach. The thrill was still the same! Of course the house and guess house have been beautifully updated. But the tropical magic remains. We enjoyed every aspect of the stay. Swimming in the surf, barbecuing, lounging around the yard, visiting Kailua and beyond. The kitchen is so well equipped, cooking was a breeze. The management is great, very professional. We can't wait to return again!

The big bonus was Stevens White Chocolate Bread Pudding!!! A totally unbelievable stay in Paradise!
