Remodeled Fantastic Ocean front sunset Views new AC 2 lanais free parking WIFI

Kona Makai is a beautiful ocean front complex with colorful maintained gardens right on the Ocean with dolphin, whale watching. Quiet complex with private tennis court, free parking, free WIFI. Pool area is on the ocean with spa, ping pong, fully equipped fitness room and BBQ. On the Iron Man Triathalon path. Ground Floor unit for easy access, park right out the door to unload and only a couple steps vs most other units require wagon to unload and stairwells . This unit although ground level has an elevated lanai for views and is same level as 2nd floor across the way. Bldg 5 is just up from pool and away from road noise, North/South facing for dark cooler morning bedroom, indirect sunlight in living area. Building 5 is only building with new plumbing, painting done. Great location, easy access and close to town and beaches.
Brand new Remodel includes all new floor tile thru out, AC, new panel blinds, new blackout curtains, new stove, new bathroom vanity, sink, toilet, walk-in rain shower with seat and hand nozzle. Ninja smoothie and drink maker and food processor. Well stocked with kitchen supplies and new furniture, mattresses, towels, bedding, kitchenware, ice chest, snorkels, beach items.

The smart TV in the living room is hooked to cable. Plus a new smart fire TV in the bedroom.

Tile floors, fans and AC keep it cool. Hair dryer, iron, ironing board are provided. Snorkel, fins, beach gear, boogie boards and tennis rackets. Dining table and bar chairs. Queen sofa sleeper has the new upgraded mattress.

Two lanais are only availablein buildings 3,4,5 one with ocean view allows trade wind to flow thru-cooler nights. Outside lanai has sitting with lounger, tables and chairs.

Tennis court requires getting the key and returning the key to the HOA manager office, which is just a couple doors down but plan for the weekend because they’re not the end on the weekend. There are a few tennis rackets in closet.

Beautiful snorkeling reefs right at the property with access (except in high surf). Watch dolphins,sunsets and whales from the property. Shower is in the pool area to wash off

Very convenient ~ 1 mile walk or 2 minute drive to town and well known restaurants . On the bus/trolley route. Five minutes from famous snorkeling beach with sea wall, lifeguard and sea turtles. Enjoy shopping in town and the open market.

Volcano National Park is a great day trip. Pu'uhonua o Hōnaunau National Park is only 30 min and best snorkeling at 2 step a short walk outside the park.

The condo was beautiful and nicely furnished. It was a very convenient location. The bathroom had obviously been renovated. We loved the rain shower head! We now want to install one at home. Communication with Janet was great. The complex was beautifully landscaped with lush plants and flowers. I highly recommend it for a couple.

Very safe condo with well maintained gardens. Parking was easy. The condo has a big bedroom with a king bed that is very comfortable. The kitchen has a new microwave and stove. There were ample supplies in the kitchen cabinets, but since we were out a lot we didn’t get to make use of it. Very close to restaurants! Overall a great place for 2 people.

Home Away From Home

This comfortable, conveniently located condo is your ideal place to stay when in Kona. It had everything you needed to make your own meals if you wished. It’s really close to Kona if you wanted to go out. The pool was a perfect size with lots of lounge chairs. The unit had plenty of air flow to keep cool and a brand new A/C unit was replaced in the bedroom. We really appreciated the quick action from owner Janet to get that done as soon as we alerted her that it wasn't working. Great communication for checking in and to address any concerns we had. We will definitely be returning!

Nice place right on the ocean

The condo is in a great location for exploring both north and south. Clean, fully stocked kitchen, nice pool area with bbq grills by the ocean. We were able to watch whales and dolphins from the lawn chairs. There was a bunch of beach gear, but wouldn’t count on the snorkeling equipment (guests had obviously not taken care of it). There were a bunch of tennis rackets and balls too. The complex is very quiet. We had a great stay!

The complex is in great location. The pool area has great view for sunset. The ocean view is partial from the balcony. You can't see it from inside. Unit has beach stuff for you to use! I would have liked tv in bedroom bc I am one of those who falls aleep to tv..but no complaints.

Anniversary Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kona Makai unit. The property is very nicely maintained, and full of beautiful lush gardens. It backs onto the shore & listening to the waves was very relaxing. The unit was very clean and very well stocked. You have everything you need there to prepare your own meals including lawn chairs, The lanai is shaded & we enjoyed sitting out there having our breakfast most mornings. The location is good & is only about 1.5 miles from the center of Kona. It was an ideal location for exploring the Big Island.We would certainly recommend this vacation rental

Excellent Place for a Getaway

This is my 4th trip to Kona Makai, and the 4th different condo I’ve stayed in. Each has been clean, well cared for, and had the view as advertised. The grounds at magnificent, with a fabulous tropical garden. The pool is delightful, and the patio area is excellent. Lounge chairs for relaxing, tables and chairs for dining or socializing, and 5 grills for use by guests!

Beautiful sunsets! Lush gardens. Lot's to do nearby but lovely to just sit by the ocean and watch the water. Nice pool area! I forgot something after we left. I reached out to our contact and she was quick to get back to me. They retrieved my item and were very helpful in getting it back to me. Much appreciated for the extra effort on their parts! Would definitely stay again!

The most perfect Kona vacation base!

We are so lucky to have been able to book this cute yet spacious apartment space on the Kona side. Check in was a breeze (tons of parking available) and the owner was fast at replying to any questions that I had. From the theme of the decor to the endless supply of utensils and water sport/beach supplies, we could tell that a lot of love and effort has been put into the place. Super close to the downtown Kona area. The sunset views from the shared space near the water were a cherry on top. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Property met expectations as described The remodeling was nice and the room was very clean. Washer and dryer a plus Most cooking appliances we needed were available, maybe add a rice cooker. The complex is nice, we took advantage of the pool and bbq grill and watching the view of the sunset was great.

Great condo to spend your days. Everything you need is supplied and more. Guess cleaning workers leave usable supplies, so check fridge, freezer, and cabinets before shopping. Lots of coffee was available. Also useful beach and snorkeling supplies, (you will want to rent beach chairs). Two air conditioning units, ceiling fans, comfortable bed, nice Lanai on interior side of complex. Very nice pool, jacuzzi, and BBQ's. No ocean entry at complex, and everything other than walkers in exercise room is severely rusted. Manager/owner very nice and helpful.
