Hilltop Heaven - Kaiteriteri Holiday Home
We pinch ourselves every morning that we are here and look out over the Tasman Bay toward Abel Tasman National Park. The view is simply spectacular. It takes oneâs breath away and one of which we never tire. Classic Kiwi BBQ dinners are often enjoyed on the patio, watching the boats returning after a day in Abel Tasman.
Spread across two levels, recently remodelled Hilltop Heaven offers modern open plan living, and ample room for your group to relax. A separate TV lounge ensures everyone can enjoy their space, and the office space is ideal for those wanting to stay connected during their stay. With views like this though, you're going to want to swap the laptop for a good book and glass of wine! Â There is plenty of room for the whole family. Bedroom 1 at Hilltop Heaven has a queen bed, the upstairs bedroom, accessed via a wooden, enclosed circular staircase, offers two single beds plus two king singles and the TV lounge has a queen sofa bed. Two bathrooms are on offer and for extra convenience, there is also a downstairs powder room.
This warm and welcoming Abel Tasman accommodation is peaceful and serene with uninterrupted sea views, yet is still close to the township. You'll love being just a 2-minute drive or a 15-minute walk to the local beach at Breaker Bay or a few minutes more to the world famous Kaiteriteri Beach. An outdoor shower makes a perfect way to end an afternoon, swimming, kayaking, or soaking up the sun. Â If youâre looking for privacy, comfort and scenery, Hilltop Heaven await! The stairwell is steep and can be quite tricky. It is not suitable for young children or the elderly.
As the deck barrier is below 1 metre high, all guests should take care in this area due to the risk of falls.
Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.
While there is ample parking for more than one vehicle, it is not suitable for boat trailers.
Bach the agent handling our booking in NZ were amazing, they moved us to a beautiful home looking over the beach. However this home was not acceptable and not as described in the VRBO listing. There was NO wifi, but it was listed with wifi. And it couldn't be fixed. NOT Cool. the House was freezing cold because it was old, not insulated and you couldn't close the windows, we could barely sleep. It was terrible and we paid good money for this place. The view was good but so what......You could not walk to the beach. Only along a dangerous road which no one would attempt.Don't stay here.
We are happy to give this home a 4 star. If we were visiting during the NZ summer it would be a 5 star. The home is lovely, clean and very comfortable. When we entered the home on a very cold night at the beginning of winter, we felt we were entering a cold ice cave. The property managers had a portable heater going in the master bedroom but the home was frigid. We could not take off our many layers of jackets. There is a permanently open window in the downstairs bathrrom. The home is not very well insulated at all, louvred windows and single pane windows everywhere. The views are FANTASTIC so glad to have all those windows! The beds have electric bed heaters and that helped but we could not sit on sofas and relax. The property managers were extremely prompt with getting back to us and brought us another portable heater for the other living space that shares the kitchen. I would recommend this home in the summer months wholeheartedly in every way for comfort, cleanliness and views. If you are traveling in the winter then I would request more portable heaters. We loved Abel Tasman and the surrounding Kaiteriteri area. The property managers are attentive and helpful.
