The room was super clean. The staff was welcoming and the breakfast was completely worth it. We travelled closer to new year where most of the city is closed. Not having to hunt down breakfast every morning made our stay even more lovely. The food in the morning is top quality with plenty of choices. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the station but close to the samurai village and right behind the garden. We would stay here again.

Everything was great--the staff in particular were great, but room was clean, amenities were great. I'm not sure I know how to use Japanese washer-dryer properly, in fact that was a new device for me. I wish I had had a chance to use the public bath! Next time!

We stayed for 2 nights while in Kanazawa. PROS: Only 5 minute walk to Shinto Shrine and around 15 minute walk from Omicho Market and Nagamachi Samurai District. The area has easy access to the main train station, 15-20 minute walk. Many dining options around, but not a lot to choose from and some good ones require reservations beforehand. The staff is very helpful, accommodating and professional. Room was very spacious enough for 2 people and their carry-ons (not like the tiny rooms of APA Hotels that can hardly fit 1 person) and they were very clean and tidy. The water pressure of the shower is very good. CONS:: The mattress and the pillows were a bit firm, so they weren't the most comfortable ones, even though I travel to Japan often and I am used to different types of mattresses. The bedroom windows had a wall in the middle which made the room seem darker even when there is daylight, & prevented from full window views, but I guess that is the architecture of the building overall. I recommend it to anyone looking to visit Kanazawa, but don't stay more than 2-3 nights since there isn't much to do in Kanazawa overall.
